Tabby Tattletale Tuesday

Here's what I'm thinking. My favorite show is on tonight and I'm planning on watching it with my mom. The show is the Biggest Loser. Trouble is, the cat who really should be watching it will be nowhere near the TV. That cat, who shall remain nameless for a few more seconds is having...issues with his weight. Now certainly I understand all that. I myself was homeless and hungry and I didn't understand that there would be food available tomorrow. So I proceeded to eat my way up to 16 pounds. With the help of watching Bob and Jillian and my sister Jonesie's gardening exercise plan I am now down to a very svelte 13.8 pounds. That's why I'm always rolling and exposing my belly. I'm proud of it.
So...it's time for Nigel to face the Biggest Loser scale. With the help of mom, he climbs on.....beep beep beep beep beep....whoa! 18.4 pounds! Uh Nigel, you are officially the heaviest cat we've ever weighed in on the family scale. Do you have anything to say? (deafening silence)
Thought so...

Momma Meezer Monday

I'm the momma around here. Not only do I take good care of my baby girl Cory, I also look after everyone else. Bennette especially loves her "momma" time with me. I wash her as if she is my own.

Bennette's gotcha day is coming up on Thursday. It's also Ginger's birthday and my mom's birthday AND the anniversary of Grete's first elbow surgery. We have a lot to celebrate this week.

Easy Sunday

Sunday is a great day for hanging out with family and friends. Seeing what neighbors will stop by for a friendly hello.
Or just being by ourselves basking in the last few warm and sunny days of the year.
Enjoy your day!

Saturday Family Day

What a whirlwind adventure! I was traveling across country to Sweet Praline's slumber party and mom was traveling to a conference. Now we are all back home again and we will be snoozing the day away. Together. Finally.

Friday in the Garden with Jonesie

Because I'm a bit sad about summer going away, I was allowed back to back posts this week. Yesterday I was walking by my pear trees, but I was going someplace very special. Dad planted one lonely little Cabernet grape plant. This is the second time we have had grapes. Even though there were only 3 bunches, it's more than we got last year. Aren't they pretty? I think the purple goes well with my grey furs. There is not enough to make a bottle of wine. Yet.
Dad said we'd just bring them inside and eat them. Mom and dad said they tasted really good, but they'd rather stomp on them and drink the wine.

So inside the house they went...and I suppose you can guess what happens next.
Mom said she knew the little morsels were headed for the floor so she saved them at the last minute.
Cory, Ellie and Bennette are all heading over to Sweet Praline's slumber party. We couldn't all go, someone has to stay home and watch the yard and stuff, so me and Grete will be doing that this coming weekend. Who knows when the little girls will return.

Thursday in the Garden With Jonesie

Hey, did you see my peppers? Aren't they pretty!!!!?

Mom! Did you see my peppers? Thank you mom, yes I know you think I'm prettier than any pepper!
We can pose together! I waited so long for the peppers to turn color that I can hardly stand it I'm so happy!

So now that I can relax about my peppers it's time to pay attention to my pear trees. We have tons of pears this year, but hardly any apples. That's just the way it works sometimes. Last year we had a ton of apples and we pressed apple cider. I miss doing that this year, but we don't have enough apples to do it. Maybe next year. Meanwhile I'm heading to another part of the garden. Since it's the end of summer this week, mom said I can post tomorrow as well since all the food will be going away soon.
Don't forget to visit my friend Alfie Marshall in the garden today. I hope he's back at work since he's been taking such good care of his mom.

Tabby Tattletale Tuesday

Hi everyone! You won't believe what's been going on here. We had guests last week. Cory and Ellie were acting all like little miss perfects. Everyone was fawning all over them. I knew that Cory couldn't keep it up for the whole visit. Turns out I was right. One night when everyone was sitting around all peaceful and stuff...Miss Cory zoomy paws comes flying out of the guest room with my aunts shopping bag handle around her neck. She's dragging the bag at full warp speed into the living room, contents flying everywhere until the little trouble maker runs herself into the couch where she unloads the bag and goes zipping off down the hall! And you know what everyone does? They laughed as if it was the cutest thing they had ever seen. Are they nuts? They didn't even make her clean up her mess.

But she's not done. So then on Sunday morning when mom was quietly helping me with my post, Miss zoomy paws and Grete were playing rough. There was a big CRASH! Grete and Cory went flying up the stairs. I went with my mom to investigate and this is what we found. Total destruction.
Ellie came by to check it out...no doubt to try and cover up for her daughter.

Soon Cory returned to the scene of the crime.

Don't even try it Cory, that wide eyed innocent look won't work on me! Nope!

So what did my mom do? Did she ground Cory for a whole month? NO! I even saw my mom give Cory bites of cheese later in the day. That is so not fair. Do you think I would get cheese if I broke something? That girl gets away with everything. And Grete? Her ears went flat and my mom starting fawning over her.
And that my friends is how it really works around here.
Pee Ess...mom is going away for a couple of days so she won't be able to help us visit very much until the weekend and dad won't help us. Sigh.

Me on Monday

I have a very special request for all of you. Tomorrow, my gossip sister Ginger is planning on saying all sorts of things about me. I want you to view the video of me before you listen to anything Ginger has to say about me or my antics. Please. I have my reputation to uphold. I recommend turning up the volume so you can hear me rumble.

Easy Sunday

There's nothing quite like sleeping in on Sunday morning. I love the soft plushy blanket my mom bought for me. Ok, she uses it too.
But I'm not alone. I got company.
Yeah, Ginger may make fun of me for spending so much time on the bed, but there's a good reason she's such an expert on the subject. If you know what I mean.
