Society of Feline Gardeners- Thursday in the Garden with Jonesie

::Meowwww::

It's been way too long my furriends!  I have missed you.  Truth is...I have missed my garden.  Mom and dad took off on us, abandoning us to a kitty sitter and I have had to settle for time in the house vs. time in the garden.

But...being an Internet savvy kitty, you know I keep up on my gardening news.  I know you could imagine my horror when I read a recent local news story:

One of the lines in the story particularly caught my attention:
"In some neighborhoods there's coyotes, some have skunks – here, it's just sous-chefs and all the things that come with that".

So now...in addition to being on alert for neighbor kitties, possums, raccoons, skunks...and all the usual riff raff that cruises through my garden (leaving my herbs alone most all of the time...except the nip), I have to watch out for local sous chefs climbing my fence?

Even though my herb garden is a bit of a mess...I think it might be tempting.   But of course I'm wondering about "sous chefs and all the things that come with that".  Hmmmm...what comes with that?  Gourmet kitty food, roasted goodies?   purrrrr

I know all that comes with raccoons is dirty water dishes...

Hey all you sous chefs out there, I hear that nasturtiums are tasty.  Wanna trade for some homemade food prepared just for me?

Woofie Wednesday

Being a woofie has it's advantages.  When mom and dad do fun stuff outside, I get to go!

I wag my tail at my kitties and say see ya later gaters!  Get it?  They're kitties and I call them gaters...I crack myself up!

My mom was having fun racing boats this past weekend so dad and I watched from shore.  It was awesome!

When I got home I told the kitties all about it.

Tuesday Outtakes

I don't understand what mom was talking about.  She said "Cory, we're not laughing at you...we are laughing with you".

Clearly mom needs to go take photography classes.

How could she mess up with a subject like me?

What will my boyfurriend Alfie think?

Will he still love me?

I deserve better....

Taking applications for a new mom!

Mitten Monday

I know I should  be hissed off.  I know I should be showing the back of disrespect.

We were abandoned for a week.  A WHOLE WEEK!

Yeah...sure, a kitty sitter took care of us...fed us all the Fancy Feast we could hold.  But it wasn't the same has having mom dish it up.

Plus...as you all know, mom has been totally neglecting my need to blog and visit my furriends.  All this while SHE goes gallivanting off to have fun and be with friends.   Aren't we enough?

The good news is that mom feels guilty and has been feeding me lots of cheese.  One of my furriends said I deserve chicken...and mom read that comment.

Next thing I knew, we got rotisserie chicken for snacks!  Woo hoo!

Maybe being abandoned has it's good side.

Society of Feline Gardeners- Thursday in the Garden with Jonesie

 ::Meowwww::

Welcome back to my garden.  I'm sorry that I missed last week.  It wasn't much of a good time to post.  It bucketed down rain ALL weekend long and it was windy.

This past weekend the weather was much better and all my furriends were out and about.

Remember my good furriend and rescue Meezer, Mr. Blue?  Well he's been living the good life next door.   When mom took this picture this was as close as she could get to him...but a couple of nights ago he came up and let her pet him!

Such great progress.  I hear mom mumbling about how handsome he is.

It's true.  I'm good pals with him now.  I need to let him know all about 'tocktober.

My deck is a mess.  Dad gets the noisy wind machine and cleans it off all the time...but within a day it looks like this.

Since it's been wet, my dad can't mow the lawn as often as I would like.  My paws disappear in the tall grass.

It's just wrong.   Good news is that a couple of days after I posed for this photo op, Dad finally mowed the lawn.  I will continue to purr for dry days so he can keep things neat and trim.

Mancat Monday

I have a confession to make.  Mom has not been good at helping us with the blog...Cory is upset.

It's all my fault.

Mom has more time in the evening to help and this is what happens.

I see her lap...I see the iPad.  I hop on her lap...and then as mom tries to type I take my big beefy irresistible face and rub my nose into mom's hands.  Hard.  I even ram my head into her hands if she doesn't start rubbing my face.

I can't help it.  I love my mom.  I'm her big beefy mancat.  She tells me so.

I know you are thinking...Nigel, it's not all about you.

But it is.  It is about me.

I can't help it.

Tuxie Tuesday

Do you sometimes get the feeling you are being watched?  Yeah Bennette, just because it's your birthday doesn't mean that you get your bed plus my towel.

Yeah Figaro, it's ALL mine.  Mom has never forgotten that 5 years ago today I actually knocked on the front door with my paws.   Mom still says I'm the BEST present she has ever received.

That means today I get whatever I want!

It's Ginger's birthday too!   We don't know how old we are so we just party!

Oh and guess what?  It's mom's birthday too!

I think she mentioned that we will all get rotisserie chicken tonight.

Purrrrrrr
