Tabby Tattletale Tuesday

You wouldn't believe what happened in the garden this past weekend.  Miss Bossy Boots Jonesie started meowing at me and Figaro.  She was saying stuff like "I hearby call a meeting of the Society of Feline Gardeners"!

Yeah right....

She had a list of stuff we were supposed to do.  Like digging and snoopervising and...oh I get tired just thinking about it!

Figaro and I humored Miss Green Paw Jonesie, and then made plans of our own.

What's say we roll in the dirt today?

Oh yeah...

The planting can wait.

Mitten Monday

I'm such a good girl, scratching away on my scratching post.  I would never scratch anywhere else when mom is looking.

This double decker cat tree, scratcher thingie is sure fun!   Figaro thinks that he's going to get a nice undisturbed nap.

Not!

He should know better by now.

Society of Feline Gardeners- Thursday in the Garden with Jonesie

::Meowwww::

Welcome back to my garden.  As you can see behind me, dad has been very productive getting the garden beds cleaned out.  He's also been very busy trying to keep up with the mowing.   The grass grows so fast around here and it will be another month or so before it slows down.

Did you notice the pretty Rhododendron behind me?

Here, take a closer look.

Mom left some sticks in my garden.  Last year these were used to mark where she planted the rows of seeds.

Being a skilled garden cat, I'd like to demonstrate additional uses.  Sometimes plant stakes and garden markers are the best for getting at an itch.

Be creative!  That's what I always meow.

The cherry tree is full of white blossoms.  I know mom gets all excited at the thought of cherries.  She loves to eat them.  Cory loves to play with them.  To Cory, this is a toy tree.

I'm finishing up my final inspection of the lawn...can you believe dad left some dandelions?  I better have a chat with him.

Tabby Tattletale Tuesday

Life at our place always seems to get VERY interesting in the spring.  All of us kitties want to get out, stretch our legs and taste the first tender baby nip of the year.

So...mom was not totally surprised when she looked at the garden and saw this...

She tiptoed quietly...with the flashybox going like crazy.   This is an introoder who used to come in the garden last year but mom could never get close.

With his face firmly planted in the nip he was not about to leave.

He let the pawpawrazzi have their way.

This is OUR nip!  MOM!  Chase him away!

What?  He said thank you?  You're gonna let him?

Dad had to hold Jonesie back...actually she was fine with him.  I'm just exaggerating.

Not that I'd ever do that.

We think he has a home.  He looks well cared for and he always leaves the yard towards the houses nearby, not the apartments.   Jonesie's nip is too much to resist.

Monday with Bennette

Hi there everyone...don't mind me while I don't look up while I chat with you.

I appreciate the purrs I've received from my furriends.  As some of you know, I've been losing weight.  When I was checked out by the nice vet lady person (who said I was her favorite of ALL the kitties)...my blood work was fine.  It was a general panel.

My mom and dad still thought I am not right so I had to go back to the vet place last Friday.  They stole more blood and did more specialized tests.  I tested positive for pancreatitis.

I have to take medication for 4 weeks!  I'm super good about taking pills.  Maybe it has something to do with the chicken my mom gives me afterward.

Anyway, mom has been super nice to me.

We had the winning bid in the Cat Blogosphere auction for ML...for the fantabulous nip mousie earrings from Beaded Tail.

I don't know how mom will play with the things she got, but I knew just what to do with the mousie.  And mom said I had first dibs on it because of all I've been through.

Mom seemed quite pleased with what she got though....and that makes me purrr.

Society of Feline Gardeners- Thursday in the Garden with Jonesie

::Meowwww::

Welcome back to my garden!  For my furriends who didn't already know, I was interviewed by the amazing and wonderful Savannah "Real Rescue Cats Are Talking".

My story is not easy to tell, but Savannah made me feel so comfortable about the whole thing.  Grete and I talked about it in the garden and she gave me her full support.

She's a good woofie with a rescue story of her own.

Yes, Grete kisses me sometimes.

I tell her jokes and she laughs!

But...joking aside, it's time to get to work in the garden!  Spring is really here and we have wonderful blooms.  It seems like all winter long my garden is muddy and yukky and then one day the sun comes out and all is beautiful once again.

The pink dogwood is lovely.

The camellia bush is full of flowers.

Mom's favorite daisies are making her smile.

My garden is all mowed and tidy...the messy garden beds below got my attention this past weekend (with a little help) and they are all ready for new plants!

Tuxie Tuesday

I like going outside.  Of course I only like it for about 10 minutes or so, then I want back in.

But in those 10 minutes, I own the yard!  Don't tell Jonesie I said that.

When I go back in the house I get fussed over.  Some of you may know that I've lost weight.  I'm only about 6 pounds now.  That makes mom worry.  Dad worries too.

It's a good thing.  Because when mom and dad both worry, they go to Costco to buy rotisserie chickens.  They are quite generous in sharing with me.  It's working out in my favor that they want to fatten me up!

Life is good.
