Society of Feline Gardeners- Thursday in the Garden with Jonesie

::Meowwww::

Hi there gardening pals!  Yes, I'm still staying inside and avoiding the wet and cold of my very own beloved garden.  But don't worry, I've got lovely garden  photos to show you.  As I told you last week, my mom and dad abandoned us traveled to the land of Teddy Westlife and Mr. Puddy in Melbourne Australia last November.

I pawed through mom's photos and found some places that I will dream of visiting someday, if I can figure out if teleporting will get me around the whole issue of customs.  Details.

Mom said this was the Royal Botanic Gardens.  She ended up going twice because it was so huge!  Can you see that birdie doing a fly by?

There were desert areas...

And roses...which reminded mom of home.

Mom said the most wonderful part was that it was November and it was late spring, almost summer.  Back at home...we know that it was late fall, almost winter.

How awesome is that?

I'm gonna have to work on my teleporting skills.

Tuxie Tuesday

Sometimes when I'm sleeping, I dream about how wonderful my life is.  I dream about summer days and flying through the air to chase birdies and squirrels and butterflies.

I dream of girlcats falling in love with my pink nose and giving me kissies.

Mitten Monday

I think I'm gonna have to file a complaint against my mom.

You'd think that I would be respected around here,  adored.

But no.

I forgot to put my tongue back in my mouth.  Do you think anyone told me?

No.

Just laughter.  Snickering.  Grabbing of the camera.

Even Bennette couldn't look at me without laughing.

Society of Feline Gardeners- Thursday in the Garden with Jonesie

::Meowwww::

Welcome back my furriends!  It's still not great weather here in my neck of the woods.  No great photos of my shivvering in my paws as I stomp around in the cold rain and mud. It's not cold enough to snow when it rains and when it's cold enough to snow it's dry.

So that got me thinking.  Maybe I need to think about this past summer when I was out on my deck on my garden chair.

purrrrrrrrrrrr

And then I got to thinking about my furriends on the other side of the world...where it's summer.  Fui, Suey, Lishy, Mr. Puddy, Teddy...all of them enjoying nice warm summer weather.

My mom and dad got to visit Melbourne Australia last November.  I pawed through their photos and found lots of gardens!  I can't believe I didn't get to go with them.  I would have LOVED it!

This garden was in St. Kilda, near an amusement park and the beach.

It was not what they planned on seeing but mom made sure to take photos since she knew I'd want to see it.

I love all the fun garden structures.  I'm hoping that dad will build me something like this.

What mom and dad really wanted to see was this....

Well, at least mom did.  Can you believe they did not ride the roller coaster?

They are no fun at all.

They did go visit a HUGE amazing garden and I'll show those photos to you in the coming weeks.

Wordy Wednesday

Hi furriends!  I'm here to give you an update on my sister Cory.  She asked me to meow about her issues because I can relate to what she's going through. I too have had issues in the past with *ahem* pee.

See the issue with Cory is that the test results showed no crystals and no bacteria.  Only some blood.  The vets think it's because she is not drinking enough and is stressed.  That makes mom sad because she doesn't think Cory has much to be stressed about.  I mean...she gets along with Bennette.  I don't understand why, but she does.

Mom had the drinking fountain turned off for a couple of weeks and everyone is now suspecting that having the fountain out of action played a role in Cory's woes.

The fountain is back in working order and mom is adding water to everyone's Fancy Feast.  Mom will give Cory some pain meds to make her more comfortable until all is well again.

Mitten Monday

Hi my pals!

I am having pee troubles again (sorry if that is TMI) and I will be stuffed into a PTU and hauled off to the vet Monday  morning.

Luckily mom had some leftover pain meds and anti-biotics from my last episode back in November so I got started on a dose Sunday evening.

I don't really like going to the vet place but they are pretty nice and they tell me I'm cute.  Thanks to my FB pals who have already started purring for me.  It truly does help.

The power of the purr can do amazing things.

Society of Feline Gardeners- Thursday in the Garden with Jonesie

::Meowwww::

It's been a slow week in the garden for me.  Very little time outside, and most of my time inside on the couch.

I did manage to get myself a bite of some fresh grass.  A girl must eat her greens!  I think I'll be heading back inside to snooze on a nice gardening book.  I get my best ideas that way.

Tabby Tattletale Tuesday

Hi everyone!  Ginger here!  I've missed you!  I've got to admit that the gossip mill hasn't been as active recently.  There's not nearly as much going on in the winter.   I've been hanging out with my pals Madison and Cecilia.

Now that Cecilia and Madison are spending more time together, their romance is in full swing.  *rolls eyes*   They were sharing a chair all cozy and stuff and mom saw them and she got all mushy and stuff.  Really.   Mom was upset she forgot to put a camera in her pocket to capture the moment.  Why?  Is that any cuter than my belly furs?

I think not.

My brother Figaro and I discuss manly kinds of things.  Like power tools.

Yeah, you can use it Figgy, but make sure you bring it back to me.

Lazy Monday

This is how I spent most of the weekend.  Curled in a ball.  Sometimes on top of the blankies, sometimes burrowed underneath.  I do love to burrow.

Mom says it's hard to get a picture of me when I'm burrowed.  I just look like a lumpy blankie.

It was cold and dry outside.  Grete woofie loved it, but even Figaro and Jonesie didn't want to be outside for more than a minute or 2.  Mom said the thermomiethingie only showed a high of 34 degrees.

Brrrrrr.

Society of Feline Gardeners- Thursday in the Garden with Jonesie

::Meowwww::

Hello my garden furriends!  I hate to disappoint you this week, but I've had limited time in my garden.  It's true that even me, Jonesie, will sometimes prefer to sit at the window and view my garden from a distance.  When it's wet and muddy, I'm preferring the soft blankie on my comfy couch.

But...we didn't want to leave you without some true garden adventures, so today, my apprentice and brother Figaro will be leading the way.  He is known to go out in the pouring rain and doesn't seem to mind it.   Don't tell anyone, but he insists on being wrapped up in a towel like a baby when he comes inside.

Dad had to rake up the remains of the garden leaves and Figaro was by his side to interfere help in any way he could.

Dad figures that with Figaro's antics help it takes at least twice as much time to get the work done.

Let this be a lesson my garden furriends.  It's not about reducing our humans time on garden work.  It's about increasing their appreciation of fallen leaves and sticks.

Nice work Figaro!  The garden debris needs a good nibble!

As for me...with the garden well in paw, I'm going to take a well deserved nap.
