Thursday in the Garden with Jonesie

I love springtime in the garden. It seems like the garden is all brown and moss green, and then in an instant, all the colors start coming out. I'm still enjoying the yellow of the daffodils. The raised beds are still brown with dirt, but within a couple of months we'll have activity there too! Some of mom's favorite flowers are this daisy patch. The first blossoms appeared this past weekend and we wanted to celebrate! There are also wild bleeding heart plants in this same patch.
The blossoms on the apple tree are also making an appearance. Everything is starting to smell good too!
Here I am inspecting the first blossoms on our Rhododendron bushes. They'll be full of color soon! This is so exciting!
This spring dad finally got some help and now our grape is all trellised and ready to do well vs. being a mess like it has been for years! What was so interesting to me is that the wire they have securing it all is awesome for scratching your face! What a great discovery. I love my garden!
I had a great weekend in the garden. The weather stayed nice for several days but as of Wednesday it turned colder...and on Tuesday night I started favoring my right front paw. I got hauled off to the v-e-t faster than Cory will eat a piece of cheese. They say it's my elbow and I probably over did it or something like that. I'm now banished to the inside until I show improvement. It's springtime. I have work to do...I can't snoopervise if I'm inside!

Oh Jonesie, working in the garden is very strainful! We overdo it too sometimes. With a little rest you should be okay and you will be amazed that the things actually grow without one inspecting them... hahahaha.
Thank you for voting! It's really time for the Big Fuss, but mom says I have to win with CB suppawt exclusively. Sigh. We didn't know that the common name for the yellow Doronicum grandiflorum is Daisy in English. It's completely different here. Mom doesn't have it as it always gets killed by slugs... She's trying to train us to get at the slugs, but... eeeewww... what is she thinking?
Purrs and get well soon!

Jonesie, we just love Thursday in the garden wiv you so please be sure and rest that poorly paw - so you can get back to the garden pronto.

Quicker than Cory could eat cheese? We suspect that's pretty darn quick! Tee hee! We love cheese too. And alfie can gobble at the speed of light - it doesn't touch the sides and then he burps! Hahahahaha! And Mom always says: ALFIE!
