Society of Feline Gardeners- Thursday in the Garden with Jonesie

::3 paw taps::

Welcome back to my garden.  It's been a tough year so far.  The only thing giving me hope is that it's now spring!!!!  Yay!  Even though it's been dreary and rainy and soggy I'm looking forward to long warm days in my yard.

As you can see, mom and dad have been slacking. By this time last year, the beds were prepped and ready to go.  They are stalling on doing the work.  I keep on walking around the perimeter of each of the beds making sure they are aware of all the work that still needs to be done.  I don't really blame them.  They don't want to get all soggy and stuff.

My daffodils are starting to daff!  I remember one year when they bloomed in February. Not so much this year.

Seems that no one wants to be out in the garden.  Will the work ever get done?  It's a big yard for me to do everything myself.
Ginger has been NO help at all!

Please leave a link and let us know what's going on in your garden.  Maybe you can inspire my family to get to work!

So Daffodils "daff"? We always wondered what that was called.

My humans have not even ripped up the old stuff to prepare the new garden for planting this year. Lazy bums.

Jonesie, it seems like you are the only one who is ready to do any gardening!

We learn something new - daffodils daff.

Things are so hectic here that we only realise that it's Thursday because you are doing your gardening post.

It's being wet here, so good for my garden because it's been a dry start to the year and everything was going yellow, months before it's due to do so.

it can be hard being the anchor in the garden amongst slackers, but you do a wonderful job! Love Darcy and Bingley xx

We got no flowers, nothing...it's still cold here and they say we might get some more snow. We are soooooo tired of winter!!

It really is difficult to get the humans to do their jobs properly.

It's still freezing here, with snow still to melt in shady areas, so you're weeks...months...ahead of us in the gardening department, Jonesie, even if you don't think you're getting much done right now.

You just need to put the bitey on your mom and dad to get them going...and for the ground to dry up a bit!

We hope the others start lending a hand with your garden, Jonesie! It doesn't look like Ginger is going to lift a paw anytime soon!

#1 and Tommy have started pottering around in the garden. It's been beautifully sunny all week! We supervise from the cat run.

We see that Ginger is of no help, but then she'll be out enjoying the garden once all the work is done, right? Don't work too hard, Jonesie.

I think you are doing a sterling job there and with no help from the others. Well done.. Hugs GJ xx

Isn't it grand that Spring has sprung for a lot of us????????? We look forward to watching your garden grow, Jonesie.

All we have are some rather "sick" looking pot plants on our balcony......sick looking cuz their duvet blew off and they partially froze, but thankfully they are coming back.

We can SOOO relate to lazy parents and slouching colleagues...I say a good cat-o-nine tails should wake them up and get them going!! Let me know how this idea works in your house then I'll think about using the same tactic in mine. Enjoy your daffy-dills!! Purrs, Lautrec, Tiny and The Wood

I hope your Mom and Dad get on the stick soon and help out, Jonesie. As you say, you can't do it all by yourself!

Poor Jonesie! It's been quite the long winter, and everything seems to be delayed this winter. But have heart, everything will catch up soon.

Your daffodils are lovely, I must say. Now you just have to get your folks to work. I wouldn't count on Ginger either if I were you.

It is a good job you work so hard to keep your garden in order Jonesie. It doesn't look much like you are going to get any help.

Great job, Jonesie! We bet your garden is going to be beautiful (even if you are not getting any help...)

Your mom and dad are very lucky to have you and Figaro to help them. We're sure you'll have the garden in great shape in no time.

Humans require a lot of pushing in a lot of areas, don't they?! Teri has worked out in our garden (we don't get to go out there like you do though) and things are growing...but we don't think Teri is helping them in any way, hahameow!
