Society of Feline Gardeners-Thursday In The Garden With Jonesie

::3 paw taps::

Hi my furriends and Garden Society members.  I hope you saw my post yesterday where I shared with the world that my name is Jonesie and I am a gardener!

The sad news for me is that I have not spent any time in the garden this week.  It's been raining constantly for days and days and it has not stopped.  My garden is a muddy mess.  I don't even want to sit on the BBQ because that is only for when it rains off and on...not when it rains all day.
So why you ask...why the sunshine in the photo?  Because I made my mom go back to March of 2010 to prove that it should be sunny this time of year, at least some of the time.  Last year I had sunbeams in March, last year my daffodils were in full bloom and the nip was tender and sweet.

Ginger has been stubborn enough to sit outside on the bench under the roof overhang.  She doesn't stay too long outside.

This is our view from the bench.  The garden lesson this week is patience.  We must be patient while we wait for the warmth and sun to return to us.

We hope that you are enjoying sunbeams in your garden!

Send some rain my way. We've just had one of the driest February. Someone up there must have got things mixed up and sent all the rain clouds to the now flooded areas.

We've had a rainy week too, and the forecast for Friday is wind and heavy rain. We're not happy, but we are trying to practice patience too.

I am building an ark. There is room for you all if we need it. I'll sail down as soon as the rivers rise (and they are getting near to flood stage in some areas--though no flooding yet as the snow isn't melting enough Thank BAST!)

Hi Jonesie,
Lot of rain , it's good start for spring. I remember before my Spring start this year, I had lots of rain ( normally, so dry ) and then when Spring come, everything just pop up and grow real fast !
May be let's see next week, Jonesie !
Won't be long ! Days has gone so quick : )

Even if it is rainy, it still looks pretty out there.

Oooooo!! Such a pretty garden you have!!! Even in the rain!! It is already so green!! Ours is still quite brown. Yuck. We haven't had any rain...until today. Today our garden looks wet and uninviting. Until now, we were really enjoying the sunshine and the fresh air. Today is going to be an inside-by-the-heat day. Well, those are good, too!! Purrs and hope the sun comes back for you very soon!! Lautrec, Tiny and Ellwood

Poor Jonesie!! We hope that rain stops and you can get out in to your garden soon!!

Yeah, but you have GREEN grass (purrfect for St. Paddy's Day, btw). We have lots of bare ground now (mud), with crusty snowbanks hanging on. We didn't bother with a gardening post this week, there's nothing to look at!

Anyway, here's to a sunny and dry week ahead for you, so you *can* get out in your garden, Jonesie!

Poor Jonesie! Last year we actually had an early Spring, and this year it's a little later -- at least where we live.

We still have tons of snow which is slowly melting and leaving huge puddles -- so, once again very messy in the garden.

We're with you Jonesie -- hanging in until everything is green once more. It's very, very soon now.

We're sorry it has been too rainy for you to work in your garden, but we're sure your garden will grow even better after getting a good drink of rain water. We hope the sunbeams return soon.

oops, our pervious comment was intended for the post above. So let us comment on your garden post - we feel for you with the rain - it was like that here but we did get out over the weekend and Mrs H has photos galore to post up and she promised she would (she has been working apparently and we have been left on our own). Loved your posts. Love Darcy, Bingley and Helen xxx
