Tabby Tattletale Tuesday

We finally got a bit of dry and sunny weather.  The downside?  Freezing cold temperatures...so cold that the cat water dish left outside froze solid.  I mean what if mom forgot to empty it out before I went outside.  What if I took a lick of it?  I could have been stuck there...my tongue stuck to the ice...it would be hard for me to meow-squeak for help!

Yeah, whatever...I'm too smart for that!

I'm gonna sit here in the cold sunbeams and enjoy them as long as I can before I have to come back in and warm up.

That's another thing I dislike about winter - how weak the sunbeams are! You lay in them and you still can't get warm!

We know not ta lick the ice! Like you. But be careful not ta fall through it. That part it trickier!

Yeah--it's been way cold here. The Woman thought the Male had set the heat up the other day because the heat kept coming on. She couldn't figure out why she was so cold--until she realized the heat was still set at 60 and that's how cold it was! Imagine. I was shaking in my fur!

Ginger, yep, we had some sun too. But it's still cold outside. Blah. Winter.

Greetings Cory,

It has been an unusual winter this year, even her in northern California were things are mostly normal, but not this time. Cold and we mean cold and wet. At least today was dry and a few patched of blue but no sun puddles to warm me.

Warmest regards,
Miss Kitty and Egmont

My dear, I envy you a cold sunpuddle, we've got muggy-hot weather and no sunpuddles, it's just not fair. I'm coming over to spend time with you methinks...

Enjoy your spot of sun! Any sun is good, even if it is cold outside.

Cold here, too, but a wee bit warmer than it had been. We hit over 50 degrees for a couple of days, actually, and Mom let us out for a little garden sitting. We are so ready for spring.

Don't worry, my ginger floofykins. If you did get stuck to the ice, you are so hot that it would have melted around you! MREOW!

That WAS a close call, Ginger. We're glad you outsmarted the cold.

We're glad you're too clever to lick the ice!

It's cold here too, and we haven't had much sun so far this winter. So if you have any sun beams at all, best to enjoy them to their fullest!

We kitties are smart. We don't lick ice!

Keep warm! If it's too cold, teleport over. The weather man promises 4 days of sunshine and warm temp before the rain comes back.

Seems we house kitties spend winter struggling to be warm enough. It is a hard life.!

We've had similar weather here, Ginger! Sun, sun and sun but really cold!

We're sure you're too smart to get your tongue stuck on frozen water, Ginger!

that was some good thinking on the part of your mom, even if you are too smart to lick ice. ;)

i hope more sunbeams and warmth come your way.

Ginger - it's a good thing your didn't take a lick of dat water dish. You'd be stuck to it until spring when it thawed. It gets so cold where we live dat we has a heated water dish for the birdies.

We hope it warms up for you, Ginger! We wouldn't want your tongue to get stuck to that water!!

Yes, please DON'T lick the ice!!! We have a little bit of sun!

We are freezing cold here, too! Literally. Down to 23 the other night. Our poor orange tree looks a little sad right now. Ginger, you need to go back in by the fire.

Ouch!!! That would hurt Ginger! We are glad you didn't lick it!

Yes, we had the same kind of thing happen here. The rain washed away all the snow, and we saw the green grass again, but it was still cold -- and now it's freezing again.

What can you do except dream about Spring?

That's right, don't lick the ice! Our mum's tongue stuck to an ice lolly when she was a little girl and she has never forgotten it.
