Yeah, I know. I'm still stuck inside. Official word is that my neck has to heal up and the furs need to grow back a bit before I can put my collar and tag on. Until that happens I can't put a paw in my garden. I'm almost there.
Figaro is doing a fine job of snoopervising the garden. I can watch him from the window and give him feedback on his purformance as he gains independence in his garden tasks.
He has figured out that mom and dad are long past due on pulling up the dead cornstalks.
Yup, correct again. Mom and dad need to clean out the strawberry pots and the eggplant garden.
My herbs are hanging in there, but it's pretty sad.
Figaro has found one of my favorite spots...sad without me...and looking pretty messed up...
Yes, it's my grapevine. These are the table grapes that mom and dad were too
lazy busy to pick. Must I snoopervise their every move? They froze last week when the weather got frosty.
I still love them. The butternut squash I grew this summer sure makes a tasty soup. Mom and dad honored me with a toast! "To Jonesie" they said..."the founder of our feast"!
Please leave a link and let me know what's going on in your garden or on your dining table!
It seems like you have taught Figaro well. Its what we do for the younger ones. We remember fondly what Skeeter and LC taught us and we know we will pass it along someday to younger kitties.
I bet your soup was fantastic! It is too bad about the grapes though.
Bummer about the grapes! But I have to agree, Figaro is doing a great job.
Jonesie, we're glad that your flea allergy is under control and your furs are growing back. You're right, it's too chilly to go in the garden these days. We have to say, we've never seen grapes that were frozen on the vine, they look interesting.
Great job supervising while you remain inside where it is nice and warm. Good to know that your neck is healing nicely and that soon you'll be able to get some fresh air.
By the looks of the photographs, the garden has been rather neglected by the humans who believe they were to busy. I think it is time to bring out the cat-o-nine tails and do some cracking of the whip.
Warmest regards this holiday season,
Miss Kitty and Egmont (dad)
It's always good to have a back up for those days when you can't go outside.. or it's just too cold and you want your assistant to do it for you!
I'm sorry you can't go out, Jonesie, but at least Figaro is doing a good job as your deputy.
Figaro is a good backup snoopervisor, Jonesie, but we can't wait for you to get back into your garden again!
Apprentice Figaro is doing well under your guidance, Jonesie. We hope you can go out again soon!
WE are sending you healing purrs Jonesie and a couple of Fenris slobbers to helps the hair grow back faster.
You have taught Figaro well.
Jonesie, we are so thankful you have Figaro to watch over things while you mend.....we are purraying that you will soon be able to go out into your garden again.
Mama says as soon as we get totally settled in our new home, she's going to get us some grass for our balcony....and hopefully some cat nip if she can find it at the local nurseries.
We hope you get to enjoy your garden again soon, Jonesie! We think that Figaro is doing a fabulous job though!
Figaro is doing a fine job ~ I'm really proud of him. he reminds me of myself when I first started gardening.
Yoor soup sounded awesome! And BTW I am staying inside, while it is cold and snowy too, especially since Milo can't go owtside 'cos of his poorly paw.
Love Alfie xx
we hope that you're all healed up and back to gardening dsoo. Figaro looks like he's doing a great job in your absence.
I'm glad to hear you are almost healed up Jonesie! Maybe you will still let Figaro help out???
Oh Jonesie, we are sorry you can't go out in your garden. We are even sorrier that your humans wasted those grapes. We bet they would have been tasty.
Figaro~great job filling in for Jonesie!
Pity about the grapes but good job with Figaro!
Listen, I wanted to tell you my romance novel Blackmail Bride is out! It has a dog in it, a yellow one called Terror.

It's good to have a trusty trainee like Figaro to help out when you're not up to it. He does indeed seem to have a knack for knowing what needs to be done.
And congrats on another great gardening season come to an end, Jonesie! You deserve the fruits (and/or squashes) or your labour.
I tried to feed Dante some squash soup but he just turned his nose up at it. It's good to see you have such good taste.
I popped back over to say that the spare Igloo is warmed up and ready ~ so please send Jonesie over asap to check owt all our other house plants and make sure they are safe.
Love Alfie Marshall xx
That is so cool to hear that your squash made some yummy soup! It's good that you have your gardening apprentice to help you out while you recuperate. Soft smooches to you, baby girl.
mmmm... I do love me some butternut squash soup, Jonesie!
More rain. Must be the wettest spring for years.
Too bad about the grapes but Figaro is doing a great job there.
We want to thank you for your kind words of encouragement.
