Thursday- Not In The Garden With Jonesie

::purrr::

Hello there furry friends and Garden Society Members.  I've been pretty much stuck inside the house and out of my garden.  My neck is still recovering from itchies and I can't wear my pink collar and pink tag until I'm all healed up.  If I can't wear my id tag, I can't go out.  Even if I am microchipped. That's what mom says.  I go back to the v-e-t Thursday afternoon for a checkup to make sure I'm ready to go back out in my garden when the weather gets a bit better.

Don't you worry about me. As your Society of Feline Gardeners Purresident, I've got lots I can do to keep up with important business.  I've been spending time on my dad's chair surfing the net for news our club members can use.

With the Solstice happening on the 21st, my mom was all happy and stuff.  She was saying the light is returning!  You know what I meowed?  "Not so fast"!  I've been googling and according to my research, we actually don't get another minute of daylight until Christmas Day!!!  Whoa.  My paws clicked on to a website that shows the sunrise and sunset tables for anywhere in the world!  Now how useful is that to us, since we have Society members all over the world!

So you can check it out for yourselves.  I told mom that the extra minute of sunlight on the 25th is Santa's gift to us.

Meanwhile, I can hardly wait to get out in the garden.  I'm really not missing much this time of year since it's been so rainy and soggy.  I was daydreaming of last year when Ginger and I patrolled the garden waiting for Santa.  We hope he doesn't mind the mud and rests a bit in our garden once again.

 Purring that Santa Paws is good to each and every one of you!

We didn't go out in our garden this week either, Jonesie. Too rainy! We hope your Vet appointment goes smoothly and you are back to wearing your ID tags and back outside in your Winter garden.

Hee hee! Thanks for the info. Santa is so cool. Hmmm...to use that minute for nappin or playin...decisions, decisions!

Isn't Santa ready for mud with his boots? We are sure he'll still stop at your garden and sit awhile. Purrs-

Well, if you had to have that itchy problem, Jonesie, this was the best time of year to have it, as I am sure there is not much going on in the garden anyway. Although if there is any bulb planting going on, you may have to send out a flunkie, like Figaro.

Jonesie, It's not much going on in your garden but it's lots going on in my garden because it's Summer in Australia !!!

Hi Jonesie,

::purr::

Funnily, our mom was thrilled abowt the days getting longer too. We all dislike it being dark early in our howse ~ although it does have the added bonus of us all cuddling up by the fire, and watching TV together on a dark winter evening.

I'm glad yoor itchies are getting better (did yoo try the Evening Primrose Oil?) and I'm glad yoo don't go owt wiv owt a collar ~ it's much too risky.

Stay cosy and warm.

Love Alfie Marshall (age 2)xx

Mum won't let me out in the garden. There is a baby bird out there who is learning to fly. I'm sure I could teach it really quickly!

Our mom always gets excited about the Solstice too. No matter that we don't get a full minute until the 25th, even seconds count! LOL!

We'll cross our paws for your return vet visit, Jonesie. And for better weather, so you *can* get out into your garden next week, wearing your collar and tags, of course!

Come soak up some sunshine in our garden today. It was in the 70's here yesterday and is suppose to be equally warm and sunny today.

Jonesie, I know about itchies and I understand that you have to be much better before you put your collar on. We hope your vet gives you the approval to visit your garden!

Hi Jonesie! We are sorry you can't get out to your garden because the itchies make it so you can't wear your collar. But we do think it is good you don't go out without it just in case. Plus with it being winter there probably isn't too much going on out there right now anyway - it is good this didn't happen in the spring or summer!
