Thursday In The Garden With Jonesie

Meow!  Welcome back to my garden!  This time of year is just so much fun with all the different plants and seeds going in the ground.  I have to work from sun up to sun down to keep it all under control.  The weather has been good some days and awful others.  We had so much rain dump down on us last week that I accidentally got my furs all soaked!  It happened so fast I couldn't get away from it and the place I usually go to stay dry had water overflowing on to the top of my furry sweet head.  I was so upset I admit I cried at the window so my mom would come get me.  She wrapped me up in a blankie and then she sang to me.  It took me awhile but I did start to purrr.

The good news is that the sun did come back out to play...and mom and dad did not have to spend any time watering the garden.  That's more time they can spend helping me.
My kale and radishes are growing up nice and strong.
My broccoli has baby broccoli growing in each of the plants!
My furriend and garden buddy Freeta Bandeeta came by for a visit to check out the newly planted basil.  Mom now has 9 plants growing, under my snoopervision of course.  In this picture I'm doing double duty as hostess and seed warmer.  There are carrot and parsnip seeds under my belly furs.
At the end of the day, Cecilia decided to help me by doing some general snoopervision.  I can't do it all, so it's wonderful of her to assist.

Please leave a link and let me know what's happening in your garden!

You got all wet? Yuck! I hate water on my fur. At least your Mom dried you off. Being a seed warmer looks like an interesting job.

::sigh::

Your garden beds are so nice and orderly. We have a bit of garden envy.

That's cool that Freeda visits you while you're working, and super that you had an assistant too.

We are sorry to hear that you got caught in a downpour, Jonesie! That doesn't sound very fun!

We thought your comment about sweet little Cory trying to feed when she came home from her spay surgery was so cute!

We are getting to much rain. Some of our plants are drowning. You should see Artemisia, she went to check on things today and she got soaked so she knows just how you felt Jonesie. Paws crossed we both get sunshines soon. Your broccoli looks really good ours isn't doing very well.

You have the most pawsome garden ever, Jonesie!

Your kale looks amazing! Our radishes are just getting started. The good news is our basil is still hanging in there. We're sorry you got caught in the rain, Jonesie. Glad your Mom sang to you, as long as it wasn't "Raindrops Keep Fallin' on My Head"!

Oh, poor Jonesie caught out in the rain! It's not a good time to be out in the garden either because you would just get all muddy.

I'm so glad your mama rescued you and sang to you to make you feel better. I'm sure it helped you to resume your snoopervising duties once the sun came out again.

Once again, you're doing an exemplary job, Jonesie!

Looks like things are going along nicely Jonesie. We are sorry to hear of your recent soaking, and extra sorry that it made you cry. We are glad you finally had a purr!
We can't wait to see what will pop up next.

YOur garden looks terrific. But what a shame you got soaked. Bet you took ages to dry off with all that lovely thick floof.

We joined your club and did a garden post today...you'll have to see it...it is really icky!! But gardening can be icky, right? We wish our weather would get better...it keeps raining and raining here, but everything is REALLY growing...especially the WEEDS!! They say it will be warm this weekend so we plan on getting out there and attacking those weeds...or maybe we'll just lay on top of them!! haha! Purrs, Lautrec and Tiny

Jonesie, you always have such great gardening posts! Sorry about the rain wetting you, but as you say, it helps everything grow. Hi to Freeta and Cecelia too!

Oh Jonsie! We feel so bad you got all soaky wet. Your Mom is a nice Mommy to hold you and sing sweet songs.

Your garden is growing great! If you need any more seed warmers we'd be very happy to be-bop over and lay in the dirt. Grete might need to herd The Baby, she's a digger.

Hi Jonesie! It is awful that you got all wet, but it is good that your mom was sweet and took care of you til you got dry again.

And the garden is looking so good - and wow, you were doing garden and hostess duty at one time - very impressive!!

Absolute pouring rain. The garden looks like a swimming pool!

Your garden is looking good Cory! We have harvested some radishes, but our broccoli is still too young for buds. We planted parsnips this year for the first time.
