Thursday In the Garden with Jonesie
Hi there! Sorry to make you all wait a week to find out what I was up to. I've been a bit out of sorts with the weather turning bad. Last Saturday, which should have been a prime day in the garden with family, turned out to be a disaster. The sky turned dark, it bucketed down rain and there were thunderboomies. Perfect timing for something new!So as I was sitting here on my bench, trying to stay dry, I came up with an idea to start a garden club! I know there are lots of cats who take their gardening seriously...some not so seriously too. There are other cats who like to look out their windows at gardens, and those who just like to dream about them. That's all ok! All are welcome in my club. All you have to do to join is say "meow! I want to join" and you're in! I haven't worked out all the details. I know I want to have officers. All I know is that I'm the Purresident. If you are interested in the job of VP or Secretary let me know. Leave a comment so I'll know you are interested. Maybe we can have a vote! In the meantime, if you want to join, you can lift this cool graphic from our side bar and put it on your side bar. As I figure things out maybe we can have cool events and garden parties too. So here is a picture of your Garden Society Purresident doing what any self respecting garden cat does during a thunderboomie storm.

This is a great idea Jonesie, I'll start working more in our garden =)
Our Mom kills all of our plants. Can we join so we can learn how to stop her from doing that???
Sniffie and the Florida Furkids
Meow! We want to join! We need the same kind of guidance as the Florida Furkids. MOL!
What a cool idea! We want to join too. We never get outside 'cept on the front porch but maybe our Mom would get us some inside plants...
Meow! Meow! We both want to join! We LOVE gardening and we've remembered to do our Thursday in the Garden post!
We're glad that the thunderboomies have gone!

A garden club sounds so fantastic!
A garden club sounds like a lot of fun. Can anyone join if they are the ones that just look outside at one? Right now our gardens are all getting for the winter, so I don't think our flowers will be looking good for long.
Sounds like great fun so its a huge meow! I want to join please.. Hugs GJ x
What a great idea - we are in! Come by for Al's Gotcha Day Party today!
Wow! Like us you have lots of kitties (and I see doggies too) on this fun blog. I'm glad I clicked on the CB link to check you out...what else do I find? A new Garden Society! We dream of gardens, but can barely manage a basil plant next to the kitchen window. Can we join in the fun?
Congrats on your new club and your badge! I'm almost ashamed to say that none of my kitties are real gardeners of any sort (likely because we beans are terrible at it, ourselves).
The only one who really bothers with any sort of garden is Dante, who likes to poop in it! I even left a space for him, specially for his outdoor litter box. Does this qualify? And what kind of position would he be best at in a Garden Club?
He already hold the title of Canadian Poop Idol, if that helps any!!!
What a wonderful idea Jonesie!!!!!!! I don't get to be as free as I used to be out of doors but I can still handle a rake like I used to. We would love to be part of your gardening club!!
Oh I want in! I know I only have three plants in my desert but I love each one!
I wish I had a garden...I have a tree outside my window but I don't think that counts.
Thanks for getting back to me on joining the garden club. Let me know what I have to do, when the meetings are where I get the membership, display thingie for the sidebar and anything I need. I will be a most enthusiastic member in the group!
This is great! I am now an official member of the Thursday Garden Club. I have the membership photo up on my sidebar with a click to go to your place and sign up there.
I have an idea for maybe a Thursday in November if you need someone to fill in, I can send photos and you can post at your place and I could link to you. I shall also do a write up but want to kind of see how your meeting goes before I jump in there too soon. Let me know. This is going to be so much fun! Thanks for letting me join up.
Hey, I aappreciate the garden, that should count. I watch from the windows all the time, I'm in.
Oh we are late but we would love to join - we don't have our own garden to tend but we love to look at all the other kitty gardens out there!
We would like to join, too. But we are insided kitties, and all the plants had to be gaved away because our youngest was eating them no matter how high they were. We just have one left and it is in a terrerium. We do have garden outside that we watch over all the time. Does that count? Can we join? Purretty please?
We have a very big window that looks out on a tiny garden. Birds come to a feeder there -- and so does a pesky chipmunk. We spend a lot of time watching out for that chipmunk! Do we qualify for membership?
