Happy Birthday Cory!

Hi there!  Welcome to my birthday party!  I'm 8 years old now.  Mom still calls me her kitten.  Um, both my moms think of me as a kitten.  My momma Ellie and my human mom.  Not all girl kittens are lucky enough to spend their whole lives with their momma cat.

I know that I will get a good tongue bath today...maybe some nip too.  I think there is a good chance of a double serving of Fancy Feast.

Do you think if I'm extra good, my boyfurriend Alfie will be able to teleport over from England?   OOOOhhhhh I hope so!

Happy 7th Birthday Cory!

OMC!  I can't believe it!  I'm 7 years old today!  Seems like just yesterday I was a wee little kitten, climbing Mt. Foot on my Gotcha Day.

Mom found another photo that I've never posted before...it's titled "Boys  Dorm".   That is wee little me on the dog bed down below.  In the window from left to right are:  Michelangelo, Jonathan and Lewis.   They are all my guardian angels now.   They all loved me from the moment I set paw in the house.

So, if you are hungry, I've got cupcakes all decorated and ready to eat!

Mom promises that I'll get lots of sock time too.  Maybe Alfie Marshall will teleport over and we can snuggle and chase bugs together.  Maybe I'll even sing a sock song.

Cory's 6th Birthday!!

Welcome to my 6th Birthday celebration!

Mom said this party should come with a warning label...sorry that mom is going to make you look at kitten pictures of me.  Consider yourself warned!

Here is my momma Ellie with a couple of my siblings.

Here I am on Day One in my new home.  I was climbing Mt. Foot!  I knew right away this would be the place for me.
Kittens need lots of naps and I made sure I got my share.

Mom still has this fleece top and I still love it.
I can't quite fit into this basket anymore, but I try...

This is mom's favorite photo of little me.

Ok, now that you sat through the photos, grab some nip leaves, dig into some tuna and let's party!  Feel free to stay awhile and trash the place.  The party can continue for a whole week since we are going to take a 1 week blogcation.

We've never taken a blogcation in all the years I've had my little bloggie so we'll see how this goes.   It will probably take a week for us to get over our nip hangovers!

Cory's 5th Birthday!

I'm 5 years old today!!!  My mom asked that I turn it over to her...

Mom here!  I have a hard time believing that our little baby kitten is 5 years old.  She will always be a kitten to us.

Just a couple of weeks after Cory was born, I went to meet Ellie in her foster home.  I had not planned on adopting one of her kittens.  Cory was a weensy ball of fur and it wasn't until 2 weeks later when I went back to visit Ellie that we considered adopting Cory.  She was the only one of Ellie's kittens that had not found a home.  This photo was taken that day.  It was clear there was no way we were going to separate Cory from her momma.   We had to wait another 2 weeks before we could bring the girls home because Ellie had to wean all of her kits.
Once Cory got home, she quickly settled in and stole our hearts.

Her love of socks started on day one!!!!

Turning it back over to you Cory...

Cory here!  I would love all of you to stay and enjoy some cheese!  Later in the evening dad will get out a guitar and I'll bring out the socks and we'll sing!  Join us!

Momma Meezer Monday

Oh cool!  The presents I ordered for Cory's birthday have arrived!  Jane and Alice packed them purrfectly with the help of their mom.  I can smell their pawprints!

I can hardly stand it!  My little girl wiill be 4 years old on April 1st!  I'm so proud of her I could pop.

Thanks for helping me Bennette.  Check all this out!  Maybe you can help me wrap them in special birthday paper and ribbon?

Oh no!  Bennette, that is not yours.  Do not bunny kick it!  That belongs to my baby.  What will she think of me if I give her pre-kicked toys?

Stop it, you brat!

Grete, thank goodness you are here to break this up and defend Cory's toy.

Uh...Cory...don't worry baby.  I still have one more surprise for you.  Don't mind the Bennette spit on that toy...it's still purrfectly good.

It's My Birthday! Introducing Sock it to me Sunday!

Hey everyone, it's my birthday! I am 3 years old! I was trying really hard to think about what I want for presents. I really have everything I want. The love of my mom and dad and momma, a big fun family, a dog I can boss around, lots of toys and nip, lots of extra sharp cheddar cheese and lots of friends from the CB. I'm a lucky girl.Happy Birthday to MeWhat I love more than almost anything in the world is socks. Slightly used is better than clean out of the laundry basket. I like them by themselves or still on the foot. If you need a refresher on my love of socks, check this out. It's the reason I accepted the position of Secretary of Socks for the Cat Blogosphere.Show me the socks!

So to honor my birthday, this is what I'm asking. Please join me in cooperation with our furriends from Zoolatry, in a celebration of all things socks, "Sock It To Me Sunday". If you love socks too, now is the time to show it. If you've never given them the bitey...now is the time to try. Here are the rules:

1. Find a picture of yourself with a sock- you can be sleeping with it, playing with it, putting the bitey on it...no limits on your creativity.

2. Email the picture to our furriends at Zoolatry , let them know it's for Sock It To Me Sunday.

3. Please email the picture no later than Tuesday April 14th so the magic has time to happen.

4. Tune in on Sunday April 19th when participating kitties and their socks appear in the debut of Sock It To Me Sunday.

To get you started, my momma Ellie will bunny kick it off with an example...you can see the apple didn't fall too far from the tree! Thank you to Ann and her partners in creativity Maggy and Zoey for all my cool graphics! This is how it's done
