Tuesday Toys

I've been working on my list for Santa Paws.

I think it's not possible to have too many socks.  I'm conflicted though.  Socks are much more desirable if they are used.  Maybe I should write to Santa Paws and ask him to send mom and dad lots of socks.  Thick fleece and sturdy wool boot socks.  Then they can wear them...get them dirty...

Then I can steal them.

Tabby Tattletale Tuesday

Mom and dad got so sappy about a video they took of Ellie and Cory on the first day they arrived in this house back in 2006. They made us suffer through watching again.  I mean Ellie and Cory liked it.  Mom and dad liked it.  You should have heard them fuss.

It was enough to make me wanna hack up a hairball.  I mean, I didn't even live here yet.  Did they take endless video of me on my first days here?

NO!

The biggest news of the past week is that mom was finding dad's socks on the kitchen counter.  She couldn't figure out why he would leave his socks there.  That was...until she heard the singing.

I actually caught little Cory, all 8 pounds of her, leaping up to the counter with a giant sock in her mouth.  Singing her heart out the whole time.

And did mom get mad?  NO!

She just made more of a fuss over the little whippersnapper.

It's time I came up with a signature move of my own.  But what?  It seems that exposing my belly isn't quite enough to keep me out of trouble.

Monday Madness!

Mom got a new supply of fleecy socks for the winter.  She said I could play with them before she put them away.  I could hardly believe my good fortune.

Even though they were clean and not all dirty and stuff, I adore them all.

I played and scattered them and whapped them and carried them through the house.  I even sang a little song.

Thanks mom!  You can wear them now.  Can I have them back when you get them all smelly?

Tabby Tattletale Tuesday

We got 8 little goblins showing up at our house on Sunday night.  Mom thought they were cute.  I really don't understand what she's talking about.  I mean, the doorbell rang, we had to get up from our naps.  Grete barked.  What's so cute about that?   And then...the worst of it is...they were asking US for treats!

Not one of those little brats children had anything for me!  No nip.  No stinky goodness.  No cat dancers.  All take.  And dad even let one little cowboy take 2 candy bars!!!
What a horrible holiday.  Then I read with horror as my friends in the blogosphere got dressed up in costumes or photoshopped beyond recognition.
I'm ready for Thanksgiving.  Bring on the turkey!
As for Corywhippersnapper...she was happy with one of dad's socks.

Ginger has no idea what she's missing!!!

It's My Birthday! Introducing Sock it to me Sunday!

Hey everyone, it's my birthday! I am 3 years old! I was trying really hard to think about what I want for presents. I really have everything I want. The love of my mom and dad and momma, a big fun family, a dog I can boss around, lots of toys and nip, lots of extra sharp cheddar cheese and lots of friends from the CB. I'm a lucky girl.Happy Birthday to MeWhat I love more than almost anything in the world is socks. Slightly used is better than clean out of the laundry basket. I like them by themselves or still on the foot. If you need a refresher on my love of socks, check this out. It's the reason I accepted the position of Secretary of Socks for the Cat Blogosphere.Show me the socks!

So to honor my birthday, this is what I'm asking. Please join me in cooperation with our furriends from Zoolatry, in a celebration of all things socks, "Sock It To Me Sunday". If you love socks too, now is the time to show it. If you've never given them the bitey...now is the time to try. Here are the rules:

1. Find a picture of yourself with a sock- you can be sleeping with it, playing with it, putting the bitey on it...no limits on your creativity.

2. Email the picture to our furriends at Zoolatry , let them know it's for Sock It To Me Sunday.

3. Please email the picture no later than Tuesday April 14th so the magic has time to happen.

4. Tune in on Sunday April 19th when participating kitties and their socks appear in the debut of Sock It To Me Sunday.

To get you started, my momma Ellie will bunny kick it off with an example...you can see the apple didn't fall too far from the tree! Thank you to Ann and her partners in creativity Maggy and Zoey for all my cool graphics! This is how it's done

Easy Like Sunday Morning

The election is over and Coco has announced her cabinet. Coco has honored my request to name me Secretary of Socks, a position I will cherish. The full team is named at Misha's blog. I will do my best to uphold the duties of this office to the best of my bunnykicking/bitey/singing ability. I was thinking of holding a fireside chat, but I got too sleepy to say much of anything.

I will leave you with one thought... if you have not known the joy that is a sock, I will do my best to teach you.
