Society of Feline Gardeners- Thursday in the Garden with Jonesie

::Meowwww::

Welcome back to my garden!  There has been lots of drama here!  You know if I'm meowing that it must be true...not the made up kind of drama you get from my brother Ginger.  This is the real stuff.

Even though it's not officially spring it's been getting warmer and there are big changes apaw!

On Monday night, mom went in the garden with me for a photoshoot.  Instead of focusing on me, she started taking pictures of our dear departed dogwood tree.  It even has a little yellow ribbon on it.   I thought it was thoughtful of mom to put a ribbon on it...until I learned what it meant.

It meant it was marked...for evil tree guys to come into my garden...MY GARDEN...and do...

this...

Utter destruction.   Mom told me it was for the best because deaded trees can fall down and that would be terrible if it fell on our house or on our furry little heads.

So now I can paw through the ground up bits...

And climb on the big pieces of tree.  There is WAY too much for firewood so we will have the giant pieces hauled away.  Until then, they are great to sit upon.

But...I did have to tell the tree guys what I thought of them.

So...on to more fun things!  My GotchaBirthday is tomorrow!  I was lucky enough to find this garden and my family 11 years ago.  Mom said I was about 2 years old at the time so I'm about 13 years old now!

Ginger and Cecilia will wait in the garden with me for my furriends to arrive.

We're sorry about your tree. Mom says she always loved Dogwood trees in NJ.

Trees live and die just like us. We're sorry you had to have people in your garden. How awful for them to leave all those strange smells!

Happy Early Gotcha Day! XOXO

My human's favorite tree got killed by pests a couple of years ago and had to be chopped down too. :-(

I am looking forward to your gotcha day/ birthday party!

It is sad that your tree had to go, but we agree with your mom, it is better this way so it didn't fall on your precious furry heads!

Happy Gotcha day a day early!!! We will come back to visit tomorrows :)

Those huge tree stumps would work great as a lookout point. Happy Early Gotcha Day, Jonesie!

It's always a shame to see a tree come down but your Mom is right. Sometimes, that's the way it must be.

We're looking forward to celebrating your Gotcha Day with you, Jonesie!
