I've invited Bennette to join me today. We are hissed off because all of our nice weather is gone. The leaves are falling, it's damp and icky. Worst of all it's dark outside! Do you know how that messes up everything? I can't come and go as I please. Mom wants us all in lock down more because it's dark. Sometimes when I get to go outside when it's daylight hours it's pouring and I get all wet. As much as I don't like wet fur, mom fusses and gets a towel out for me and makes sure I can sleep on a towel just in case I'm still damp.

Thanks Ginger...what happened to summer?? What mom??? You mean it hasn't been summer for almost 2 months? I never said that was ok. Please open the door into spring. Now!
Oh, and about our old couch going away...see there is this guy named "Craig" and he has this thing called a "list" and humans buy and sell stuff on it...and if your human prices things right...they disappear before you are ready. So that is why we will be without a couch for a couple of weeks. This Craig and his list are very effective.
I'm sure you all wanted to see what was underneath Nigel's fur yesterday. He likes to cover for Grete, but here it is. Remember you didn't hear it from me.

Yes, I was rather annoyed today too. We had all sorts of wind and it was so high that it woke me up from a nap!!!

Oh! So that's why the couch timing isn't so good. We are hissed off about the weather too. It was nearly 80 here today, but this weekend is supposed to be cold and wet. Mom better go get some firewood.
You can all come to my sunny garden, but you better be quick because there are storms on the way, again.
I am havin problems with the tree leefs fallin too. I hate walking on them.

We're having monsoon here and our house flooded. Yech. Target sat on the sofa and Au went upstairs. Boris waded.
So that's what happened to the couch. I enjoyed it when the weather got a little cool at first, but I don't like the latest development. We have a little snow on the ground now. Please come to my Gotcha Day party going on now.

And for the record, we want our mom to open the door on Spring too (so does she!) but it's gonna be a while....
We are very hissed off that summer has decided to go away, too. We never said it could go!! And we don't like how dark it is either...and that it's too cold to have the windows opened.
We heard our humans talking about that list that Craig has. They got a new cold box and a new food cooking thing and were gonna use that list for the old stuff. But then a neighbor came by and said he wanted it, so our humans don't hafta use Craig afterall.
It'll be difficult without a sofa for a few days, we sympathize! Who wants to sleep in cat beds?
We're sorry that Craig is taking your favorite couch but we know it will be fun breaking in the new one!

The same thing is happening here to the light and the temperatures. How sumer has the nerve to go away, I don't know. Maybe because our Aussie and Kiwi friends need it?
About our deer - we love them lots, and they are so sweet if they pass by with their spotted babies. The trouble is that there are getting to be too many of them in the area, and the towns are starting to take measures to cull the herd. Which we feel so sad about.

Bennette, you look super crabilated...we think your Mom better find the correct door for Spring right away! We are still having nice weather so if you guys want to sneak down and visit you are more than welcome.
We STILL think you should get TWO sofas.
We have noticed the dark hangs around longer but so far the cold hasn't hung around very long. We get 4 seasons here so it is always changing and we think it's going to get more exciting very soon! Ho Ho Ho=^Y^=

It's not just where you live, Ginger, the nice weather is gone all over the northern states and Canada. It seems that Bennette is a little slow on the uptake about such things, though. You should attempt to keep her apprised, especially if she's going to be a credible gossip.
Congrats on being able to sell your old couch. I'm sure it will help with the PURRchase of the new one.
We don't like all the wind and rain and dark either.
