Society of Feline Gardeners- Thursday in the Garden with Jonesie

::purrrrr::

I know you expected me to be out in the garden this week.  Trouble is, it's been wet and icky and worst of all, it's dark outside.  When mom leaves for work it's a little bit light, but when she gets home it's dark.  I suppose I could teleport over to visit my furriends on the other side of the world, but mom and dad would miss me too much so here I sit.   By the fire.

Mom surprised me the other day when she said there was mail addressed to me!  I couldn't figure out who would send me something, but then I remembered that Raymond and Busby were going to send me seeds from Sunflowerzilla!

Cory was shocked!  I think she was disappointed that Raymond and Busby sent me mail and there was no letter to Cory from Whitey.  She pouted.  She wouldn't even look at the seeds.

My head was spinning.  All I could do was think about my very own Sunflowerzilla.  I was thinking about the Society of Feline Gardeners and sharing seeds and planting ideas and Cat-a-logs and....and...then I remembered the note that my bestest friend in the whole world, Alfie Marshall (age 2) sent me.

So we copied words from Alfie and Milo's bloggie:

"Every year at the eleventh hour on the eleventh day of the eleventh month we remember the end of the First World War and all who gave their lives then and since.

The Royal British Legion is the nation’s custodian of Remembrance, ensuring that people remember those who have given their lives for the freedom we enjoy today. The poppy has become the symbol of Remembrance worn during the weeks leading to Remembrance Sunday and Armistice Day"

The poppies are no longer in bloom in my garden, but I have a picture to remember.

Please leave a link and let me know what's happening in your garden (or in your living room!).

Too bad about your weather keeping you out of your garden, Jonesie, but that is cool that you got the sunflowerzilla seeds from Raymond and Busby - you will have fun with that next year. And the look on Cory's face - classic!

Greetings Cory,

The garden situations sucks. The time I spent outside is so very little and my pillow throne that used to get lots of sun puddles gets sun but little warmth.

If you like seeds, dad collects seeds for growing trees and if you are interested we would love to send some.

Warmest regards,
Miss Kitty and Egmont

We're doing a Remembrance Day post today, no garden post. But there's nothing to report here either. Cold. LOL. We like the idea of curling up by a fire! And we can't wait to see what happens with the Sunflowerzilla seeds next year--we hope they germinate and grow to HUGE heights! :-)

That looks like a very cozy spot by the fire Jonesie! What a good place to do some planning for next gardening season. . . . .which we'll be doing soon.
We didn't know about remembering the soldiers but Momma's nephew has to go back to Iraq (again!) the end of the month so today at 11:00 we'll purr a special purr for him.

We are so glad Sunflowerzilla's seeds arrived safely! We're excited about seeing how big they will grow in your garden under Jonesie's care.

Our garden has undergone a change. We took out everything that had died off and planted some pansies. We'll have photos next week, today is all about remembering.

Well our GARDEN looks nice. WE still have some lovely flowers blooming and it is warm and sunny today. Unfortunately the Mom & Dad are sick and all they want to do is lay in bed and SLEEP.

Can't wait to see what grows when you plant the seeds from Sunflowerzilla, that Raymond and Busby sent.

We are having a giveaway. Come enter if you have time.

We observed our minnit of silence at 11 PM GMT. Our collar bells tinkled a little, but be stayed as quiet as possible. Even the TV was turned off.
