Thursday In The Garden With Jonesie

Meow!  Good to see you!  This time of year it's hard to keep up with everything.  The grass got so long because of all the rain,  it took mom and dad working together for hours to get the job done.  Most of these pictures were pre-mow.  All I can do when that is going on is duck under a bush and wait it out.  I love the feel of fresh cut grass under my paws.
Figaro is back outside helping me...well he helps some of the time.  Trouble is he's feeling lots better and sometimes he tries to play with me by pouncing and crab walking.  He's a young thing and he likes to mix work and play.  I get annoyed with him, but I do appreciate the help.  The basil garden is still sad, and some of the seeds mom planted got so much rain water on them, the seeds didn't stay all in a line.  They bunched up!  It's a sad looking garden, so we purr on it a lot.
We had a dragonfly stop by to say hello.
The Jerusalem Sage is blooming and looking lovely!
And Cory, true to form appreciates all the vegetables I grow, although she did not actually eat any of the  broccoli.
So now it's time for a nice nap in the shade.  The days are long and mom is spending lots of time outdoors and not inside helping us all visit our furriends.  I think it's going to be that way for awhile...we will do our best to get around at least a few times a week.
Please leave a link!

Jonesy, I'm sure that if Figaro gets a little too frisky, you will show him the paw of disapproval. Keep purring on those sad basil plants... they need it!

We think Figaro will be a great help, once he's trained, Jonesie. There's no one better to do that than you! And that broccoli looks fantastic! Yum!

Hi Jonesie!
Sometimes Mother Nature throws you a screwball and I think everbuddy's getting it this year, with wacky weather. We're just now catching up with the weeds and grass because we had our rain earlier in the spring. But now that you've got Figaro Outside helping you we're sure you'll whip that garden into shape in no time. Just be sure to take time to enjoy it too!

We are having a Garden Party for Artemisia, she is ONE today.

Love the Jerusalem Sage, this is the first time we have seen it.

We hide inside when the beans cut grass.

We are very glad to see that you finally have sunshine! And we're also glad Figaro is back in the garden - and at least trying to help.

It must be the season for bad blogging assistance!
We love the picture of you and Figaro purring on your garden. Will he get a role in the Gardening Club?

Can you send some of that sun to me? I need to help my dad's tomatoes to grow big.

Our Mom put in lots of things too but it rained for ever and not much is going on in our yard. I like your tour though ...

Big Al .. The Purr Gang blogger of the day ^,,^ (Mom is getting coffee and asked me to help. Which I am but I think a nap will be needed soon.)

"crab walking" - we love that!

Your garden looks great. This is the busy time of year for the garden. What is it with the basil this year? Ours is pitiful too.

The broccoli looks great! You did a wonderful job Jonesie!

Your garden looks a lot better than ours. Mom's tomato plants have some weird disease or something. Mom stinks at gardening.

The garden is looking great, but we are sorry about the basil problems. That is too bad because we know that basil is tasty, at least that is what mom says.

And that is great that you have Figaro to help out - but yeah, the young cats can be more interested in playing than working (we know that all to well at our house!)

Sorry about the basil, Jonesie. But the rest of the garden looks really good! So glad Figaro is (sort of) helping out. :)

Jonsie,
You are amazing! All that work and still have time to train up an assistant...albeit a feisty one.

Looks like Figaro is over his innards pests? He seems VERY happy to be living at your house and getting love and regular fudz.

Hey Jonesie, good to hear that your assistant is back at his job. A gardening kitty needs all the help she can get.

I am not doing much at all, the garden is going to pot!
