My Story on Kittenboy Monday

Hi there.  My mom and dad found my first mom.  She lives nearby in the apartments with my mommy cat.  She saw the phone number on my tag and called this past weekend.  Because of her living circumstances I was never allowed to come inside, so was outside all the time and was not ever taken to the v-e-t.  So after discussion, looks like I am now officially part of my new family.  Mom says that involves something called a microchip...is this anything like GPS?

The good news is now mom and dad know who my mom and dad cat are.  They always suspected but didn't know for sure, cat relationships being what they are.  I was born sometime in August of 2009, so I am 10 months old.  I think my crabwalking was a giveaway that I'm still a kitten cat.  My former name was "Tuxie".

My parents are the cats known to my new mom and dad as Mr. Tuxie and Tortie Princess. They both came to Jonesie's 9th Gotcha Day party in March of 2009. They must have had a thing for each other because in August of 2009 I was born.  If you follow the link to that post you can see my beautiful momma and my studly poppa.  My momma cat is now spayed.

I'm happy because I can sleep in the house all I want now.  This is how my mom found me early Sunday morning, completely snoozed out.  I think I found my new home just in time because the kaboomies started about noon on Sunday and I got really scared.  I can't imagine having to be outside for the 4th of July war zone.

You're a lucky kitty, Figaro. SS didn't know that there was a specific kitten gait.

I'm so glad you can stay. The microchip is bad news as is the vet but hey, it's better in the long run!

We're happy you're where you are and safe from all the fireworks and enjoying your fabulous new home, Figaro!

Your mommy and daddy are so cute! We love the Tortie Princess and hope she is okay with your former Mom.

Were here other kittens in your family? I wonder what happened to them.

it is worrisome that you were never taken to the vet before, but I am sure your new Mom and Dad are now catching up on all your vaccinations etc. Since you weren't totally wild before, it is now understandable why you have adapted to your new life so quickly.

It all sounds like a better situation for you to be n your new home. Good for your great humans for taking you in!

Microchipping is the way to go, just in case you ever get lost (Goddess Bast forbid!).

Figaro, we are so happy to hear you have a wonderful forever home now with Cory and the family. You don't need to worry about a thing for the rest of your life. From now on, you've got it made in the shade, my friend!

If only our mom could get close enough to the mystery black cat in our yard to put a collar with a tag on her. She shows up on the camera from 8pm-5am. None of the neighbors have ever seen her and no one knows who she belongs to. They are going to trap her for a clinic on the 24th of July.
