Weekend Trillium Festival

Hi there! Grete here, reporting from the trail at Tryon Creek State Park.  I went here last weekend sniffing out the site of the annual Trillium Festival.  Mom and dad didn't take me to the actual festival...for reasons that were made clear later.

We actually have a few beautiful sweet trilliums in our backyard, but we wanted to get more.  When I visited the park I got to see lots of trillium plants.  Here I am standing next to one.  I had to make sure my paws didn't trample them.  Being who I am, that's kind of hard.

At the fesitval there were tables full of trillium plants.  It made mom and dad swoon!  I didn't get to go because they needed room in the car for all the plants and stuff they bought.  It was ok because I got to scope it all out the week before.  They got ferns and other plants too!

There was cool garden art.  Cory pouted because mom DID NOT buy this cool cat art.  Can you believe that?

This is what they did  bring home.  They are really cool.
Since Jonesie is feeling better, I mean feline better, I'll let her show off the cool art stuff later this week.  I mean she's got to decide where to place it, right?

It's good to hear Jonesie is feeling better. She'll find good spots for the garden art. Looks like the humans had a good time - ours would have loved it too!

Hi Grete, that looks like a neat place to walk. We thinks your Mom should have gotten the cat art though. We don't blame Cory for pouting.

Glad Jonesie is feeling better, it looks like she is going to have a lot of work to do in her garden. ~AFSS

Thank you for your kind note about Bucky. It was very thoughtful and nice of you to stop by and means a lot. I miss him very much, but the outpouring of support and kindness means so much and really does help. I hope Bucky meets your sweet Noelle.

I bet Grete had a great time there. The green is so pretty! Cory, I can understand the pouting. That cat garden art is so neat. I hope you're all enjoying your Sunday.

Obviously no garden should be without cat art, unless there's a real cat. That's just better.

Our mewmie loves trilliums, too and that cute little flower called a cat's ear. She misses the northwest when she thinks of them.

You got some nice things to add to your garden, too!
