Tuxie Tuesday

Bennette here! We got at least 8 inches of snow at our house with a coating of ice to top it off. This picture was taken early in the morning and you can see the lights from our Christmas tree reflected so it looks like we have lights on the outdoor tree.Since it's Christmas and snowy and cold, I'm even being good to our evil squirrels. If you look close you can see the evil squirrel in the bird...I mean squirrel feeder.
We have presents under the tree now, so that means I have to be REALLY good...and I can't try and scratch or chew open the packages. We still are looking forward to Santa filling up our stockings and bringing more presents.

I got a new collar as an early Christmas gift so I can look all spiffy for Santa. I hope he likes it. It's pretty cool. If you biggify the picture you can see the pirate kitty and fish bones on it.

Only 1 more day until Christmas Eve and the roast beast dinner!

Snowy Sunday

The snow started falling early Saturday morning and has not stopped.Jonesie likes sitting outside and watching the snow fall as long as it's not falling on her head.

My momma Ellie likes checking it out, because she is adventurous. I'm not so sure yet.

See my momma's tail all floofed out in the cold as she takes in the snowy yard from our deck?

I prefer to look at the snow from the warm inside of the house.

I'm going to hang out by the fireplace and sleep now.

Many Thanks Monday

Thank you to Maggy and Zoey and most of all Ann from Zoolatry for getting me in the holiday spirit! I had just posed for a new picture for my header, but that will now wait until after the holidays.

Ms. Diamond has given me this really special award. Here it is and below is a description of what it means.

"This blog invests and believes the PROXIMITY - nearness in space, time and relationships! These blogs are exceedingly charming. These kind bloggers aim to find and be friends. They are not interested in prizes or self-aggrandizement. Our hope is that when the ribbons of these prizes are cut, even more friendships are propagated. Please give more attention to these writers! Deliver this award to eight bloggers who must choose eight more and include this cleverly-written text into the body of their award."

We really appreciate it because I began writing about my family as a way of sharing the special friendships we have. It's also a way to memorialize those who have come before. In the process we have been lucky enough to meet many new and fine friends along the way. It's been very special.

In addition we want to acknowledge the other awards that have been kindly given to us in the past week. We are a bit overwhelmed getting 4 different awards almost at once. Here they are:

Samantha and Mr. Tigger gave us the Butterfly award.

Kiddo, Poetikat, and The Real Cats gave us the Lemonade award.

Tristan Tabby Cat Longtail gave us the I Love Your Blog award.

Diamond Emerald Eyes is right, we do it for the love of our family and our friends. We are honored to have met so many wonderful cats and their humans along the way. We will focus now on passing along the Proximity award.

As I look out the window and think on this snowy day, I'd like to pass along the Proximity award to those kitty bloggers that we think are exceedingly charming.

I'm passing this along to:
Whimpurrs Whim (Redfurd and Prince charm the socks off of us!)
