'Twas the Night Before Christmas- Cory's version

'Twas the night before Christmas and all through the house
Not a creature was stirring...especially not Figaro!

My momma and I are tucked in by the fire
With visions of sugarplums cheese and socks...dancing in our my head.

And then on the roof, Jonesie heard the pawing and prancing of reindeer hoofs!
(she swears this is true)
Not wanting to leave her Secret Paws package...

She settled next to the tree, hoping that St.  Nicholas will come down the chimney.

With all the clatter, Figaro woke up to see what's the matter...oh wow there are presents under the tree!

Could it be??

We heard Santa exclaim as he flew out of sight

"Happy Christmas to all and to all a goodnight...especially all you good kitties and woofies!"

(yes he did say that!)

Twas the Night Before Christmas

Nigel:  We're wild with anticipation here at my house.  I stay close to the tree at all times so I won't miss an appearance by Santa.

Figaro:  zzzzzzzzzzz

Cory:  Figaro, you big lug...using me as a pillow and exposing  your belly to Santa will NOT get you more treats.  Or will it?

All of our stockings have been hung by the fire.

The stockings of all who came before are hung around the window near the tree.

The presents are wrapped, just waiting for our claws to get in to them.

But what's that we hear???

Off in the distance???

Grete, would you go investigate?

Ohhh...I think I smell reindeer!!!!  In the woods!!!
I think it's going to be a wonderful Christmas!

Meowy Christmas everyone!!!

The Night Before Christmas

Twas the night before Christmas, and all through the house
Not a creature was stirring, not even....

Grete woofie
The stockings are all hung by the chimney with care
In hopes that Santa Paws soon will be there

Bennette is snug on Ellie's hairy blankie...

Ginger is dreaming of cream puffs and Fui

Jonesie is dreaming of her garden and tools

And sweet Cory dreams of socks, Tillamook cheddar cheese and Whitey.

May all of your holiday dreams come true.

Twas the Night Before Christmas

We've never had a white Christmas and now it may come true! The robins look like red ornaments in the snowy tree. We are up to 11" of snow!

Twas the night before Christmas, when all through the house
Not a creature was stirring, not even a mouse.
The stockings were hung by the chimney with care,
In hopes that St Nicholas soon would be there.

The children were nestled all snug in their beds,
While visions of sugar-plums danced in their heads.
And momma in her ‘kerchief, and I in my cap,
Had just settled our brains for a long winter’s nap.
Happy Christmas everyone! We are dreaming of a white Christmas.
