Society of Feline Gardeners- Honoring Annie

::purr::

Welcome furriends and Garden Society members.  I'm really sad today.  One of our very own members of the Society of Feline Gardeners has gone to The Bridge.  Sweet Annie, we will always remember you.

I'm going to spend the day on the couch instead of the garden.  I know I should be out there...but it's been dumping down rain for days...and it's soggy and yukky.

Grete and Bennette are also staying inside.

So is Cory...oh wait...she ALWAYS stays inside.

Mom said that this week hasn't been totally filled with sad news.  Our little squirrel furriend that Daddy tried to save actually did alright staying in a cat carrier overnight.   Daddy was able to safely release Mr. Squirrel to the backyard where he promptly scurried WAY up a tree.  He did not chatter evil things at my dad for saving him, which makes him the least evil squirrel on the planet.

I also received my seeds from Renee's seeds in the mail!   It's still too soggy to plant, but I'll be ready to go once it dries out a bit.  I helped my mom with the order and we used code FR227A when checking out so that 25% of our order goes to support United Paws.

Hopefully I'll be back out in the garden next week, but until then, please go visit Annie's family and leave them some much needed purrs.

We are very sad to hear that Annie has gone to the Bridge. She has not been well, so at least she is not in pain and running free. Our thoughts are with the family. Losing a beloved pet is never easy.

SS is partial to squirrels, so she is happy to hear the Mr Squirrel is fine. I have never met one.

I think even the weather is sad about Annie. You are smart to stay inside.

We were sad and surprised to read about Annie. We are purring for her at our house too.

On a lighter note, we are so glad your seeds arrived! We can't wait to hear what you ordered. We have some too and are eager to plant them!

Hi Jonesie. It's a sad day wiv Annie passing to the Bridge. I didn't know until yoo told me in the comments ~ so thank yoo. I hot pawed it over to Annie's blog, and her mom's, and left messages. It's tragic but I am glad Annie isn't suffering ~ and I suspect Chumley and Annie are throwing their own garden party today at the bridge.

I'm glad the little squirrel survived ~ seems like he just needed some TLC and rest while he was vulnerable. Yoor dad probably saved his life so please fank him.

Love Alfie xx

Staying indoors is a good bet when it's cold and rainy. All of you look so nice and cozy. Sylvester wonders if Bennette is safe next to Grete's bottom?

How nice of you to honor Annie today, we miss her and we know her Mom does too, a lot.

So, some squirrels are less Evil?

We are very sad about Annie's passing. She fought a hard battle. We are glad she is healthy now and having a great time roaming in the garden over the bridge!

Staying indoors is best when it keeps raining.

Boris is doing much better, thanks for your advice! I'm glad that squirrel made it out alive. Poor thing. We visited Annie's mum already.

Also, thanks for the purrs. Au ate again so we're hoping he's on an upswing. We really appreciate your support.
