Society of Feline Gardeners- Thursday in the Garden with Jonesie

::purr::

Time to welcome you all to our weekly meeting of the Society of Feline Gardeners.  I admit that I have not been much of a role model this week.  There is stuff to do, but I was not effective at getting my family of helpers to help me.

Ginger was NO help at all.  She wanted to expose her belly to me. She said if I just let myself have a good time, expose my belly to the world, I'd feel a whole lot better.

She said I work too hard.  Don't take enough time off.  She said I'm dull, boring...

Then to make matters worse, Figaro jumped in and claimed the same thing!  He said I should take a week off.  Lounge on the garden bench.  Expose my belly!

But I have flowers to tend to...

Visitors to welcome (yes that's Figaro's momma hiding in our weed patch).

So my Garden Society members...do you think I should do it?  Take some time off to expose my belly and let my dad do all the work in the garden?  I hear the rain is coming in by the end of this week, so perhaps I should grab those sunbeams while I can.
Let me know if you are working in the garden this week or just enjoying it!

We're slacking this week too! Our Cosmos got battered by last weekend's rain and more is coming here this weekend. It was all we could do to get the humans to fill the bird feeders.

We think you should expose your belly to the world, Jonesie, and enjoy those sunbeams before the raindrops fall!

I work hard too, but sunbeams trump everything! Trust me... it has been gray and rainy here for days - you will miss those sunbeams loads if you don't use them!

Jonesie,

There is nuffin dull and boring abowt yoo. Yoo are my hero, my role model and my best gardening friend. Ginger and Figaro shud wash their mouths owt wiv soap water for saying such norty fings. :sigh:

I like seeing their floofy tummies BUT there is a time and place for exposing floof ~ and it's not when werk needs to be done in the garden. They shud know that by now.

I fink yoo shud take a break BUT NOT 'cos yoo're "dull and boring" ~ BUT 'cos yoo DESERVE a break for werking so hard and growing such beautiful flowers and vegetables ~ and having to micromanage Ginger and Figaro all da time!!

So I fink yoo shud find a comfy garden chair, and catch those Autumn sunbeams and chillax. Meanwhile Ginger and Figaro shud be put on weeding duty! Nuff said!

Love Alfie xxxxxxx

Oh, that shot of Figaro is too much! I think you should try to outdo him with belly exposure. At this time of yer the garden sort of takes care of itself pretty well. Go for it!

Jonesie, We agree with Ginger and Fig. Life is short, and although you DO have a very important job....you should grab some sunbeams while you can!!

You do work very hard... we think you should take some time off and enjoy yourself!

We learned the major benefit of having a horribly overgrown garden. LIZARDS!!! They hide under all the extra overgrowth. So there could be some nice reward for you if you took a break.

I am just enjoying my garden this week too. I think it's okay to take a week off every now and then.

you know - you might as well lay down and expose your belly, no one else is tending to the garden.

Everyone needs a break now and then, Jonesie, even an all-powerful Master Gardener! We say take a week off, enjoy the sunshine, and certainly expose your belly. LOL.

Hey, nothing wrong with taking a break, give those green paws a rest!

Jonesie, we think you need to listen to Ginger and Figaro and mellow out.....you've been working really hard in your garden and it's time to relax....let the beans do all the work for a week or two...it will do them good...:)

Jonesie, I think you should enjoy your sun puddles while you can...won't be long before the cold air will be here.

Jonesie, we all agree... there is never a bad time to bellybathe!

In not too long from now there won't be much sun to soak up so we say go for the sun and expose that belly while you can...we are around here. Nose kisses and hugs

Jonesie, you've worked so hard in your garden all summer long that we think you deserve to have a little break...so go ahead and expose that floofy tummy of yours!!

"Gather ye rosebuds while ye may" or in this case sunbeams...but I guess rosebuds works too since this is a gardening post! Either way Jonsie, take a well deserved break before the rain comes :-)

Hahaha! Mommy thinks it's great you have a special patch for weeds.
Jonsie, your 'tocks are so cute we think you should just be lazy this week and let your Dad do all the work.
Our Daddy is wondering if HE can roll around in the yard, exposing his tummy...Cod forbid!

To every thing there is a time.

A time to Garden, and a time to Sunpuddle.

The good news is there is time to do both.

Work in the garden all you want, but take a few minutes to show yer belly to the world in a sunpuddle.

The secret to happiness is not in trying to do everything, but to find those things you truly enjoy doing and then doing those things...

We think you should take some time to roll in the garden and let the sun warm your tummy. You have worked hard in the garden and deserve a bit of relaxation.

Quill and Greyson said...

First of all your family tock shots from yesterday were very impressive.

Secondly sunbeams are fleeting Jonesie, you need to find some balance and nothing feels quite like a belly beam. I say go for it!

Carolyon said...

You are such a hard worker Jonesie! Maybe you could give sunbathing a go.....

Karen Jo said...

I think you should take some time off and expose your belly to the sunbeams while you can. You have worked very hard all summer and deserve a break. I am not allowed outside, but my human worked in the garden last week, cutting down some baby trees that had taken root.

CCL Wendy said...

I'm sure if there was some urgent gardening work to be done, that you would be right there, Jonesie. But there's nothing that requires your immediate attention -- so I say roll over and bottom's up!

Jonesie, you do such a wonderful job taking care of your garden. But do be sure to show your belly a little bit ... you deserve it! :)

That is a nice garden. We cannot have one because Bob and Patrick would eat it up.
Happy weekend to you!

Don't worry Jonesie, I'll come and lend you a paw. My garden has been flooded by the spring down pour and I can hardly leave the porch without getting my floofy feet wet.

My advice is definitely get some sun on you belly before it goes into hiding.

Besides your belly would love those sunbeams ;) Grab them while you can!!!!

Figaro's momma looks VERY similar to Coal's momma! Coal's momma (Little Girl) has the brown streak closer to the middle of her nose and matching "eyebrows". They look like they could be sisters though!
