Society of Feline Gardeners-Thursday In The Garden With Jonesie

Streeeeettccchhhhhh!

::purr::

Welcome back to my garden.  Let's get our meeting started.  It's been raining a whole bunch and I've been too stubborn and too attached to my garden to stay indoors.  I like to sit on our bbq because there is an overhang right above it that keeps me fairly dry.

Then when that Oregon phenomenon know as a "sun break" happens, I'm on it!

I tried to tell my mom and dad that since mother nature is handling the watering, they can put away the sprinkler.   As a garden cat you can't assume that your humans will know what to do or when to do it.  You have to take matters into your own paws.

When I was strolling around the garden I was super surprised to find late season raspberries!  I pawed on my mom and made sure she followed me to the little treasures.

Yes mom...your welcome!
Please leave a link and let me know if you've found any surprise treasures in your garden (or under the couch!).

You are so smart to point out those raspberries. You have a nice place to sit out of the rain.

I fink the bbq is an excellent place to sit while yoo wait for (sun breaks" to happen ~ 'cos yoo can snoopervise from there while yoo're waiting.
Your beans are very lucky to have yoo, wot with advice abowt the sprinkler and showing them nommy late raspberries to pick.
I often find hidden treasure in our howse ~ it's usually my toys that Milo has hidden from me. When I can't find stuff I hafta hunt round the howse til I discover where he put it! I don't mind though ~ 'cos I'm honing my hunting skills!!!

That is a lovely late-season surprise, Jonesie! We found a couple tomatoes, that was our hidden surprise. We're lazy today and too chilly to go on a garden stroll.

Yes, BBQs are wonderful to sit upon, especially when they are sheltered. Looks like they're also great for doing your stretching before checking out the garden.

Wow, those raspberries look awesome!

Jonesie how awesome you found those raspberries! They look yummy! And we agree that it is a kitties job to make sure humans know what is going on and when to do things - and we bet it is especially important for you as a garden cat!

It's been wet here as well. The usual spring thunder storms. We will get back to regular Thursday gardening post next week. Not that lazy SS has much to show.

The raspberries look yummy!!!
