Tabby Tattletale Tuesday

The week started out fantastic.  Let me tell you my furriends, don't ever let that fool you into thinking the week will stay that way.  Just remember you heard it from me.

Mom and dad cleaned out the workshop...and hanging from the ceiling was dried nip!  Yes, they just let me play in it and roll in it!  Wow!!!!  I'm thinking this is the best place on earth and me, Ginger, gets to live here.

But then, mom looks at my back...which my furriends, looks absolutely fine.  This photograph proves it.

But NO!  Mom says I'm a mess from flea allergies and I've got itchy spots and some scabs on my back.  And then she said the "B" word.

B.A.T.H.

Before I could even get a squeak out, I was swooped up and stuffed into the bathtub where mom had hypoallergenic soap ready for me.  I didn't even see it coming.  How unfair is that?

Mom said I was being a big baby because I didn't need a full body bath, just my back.  How's that for sympathy?  I thought she loved me.

Well, she did wrap me in a towel and say sweet things in my ear.  I guess I can forgive her....maybe.

Oh nos, a BATH???? I do hate it! I would rather be stuffed in a PTU and go to the vet.

Wow ! ... Lots of nip, I think that's why she got you easily to the bath. She is pretty smart !

A bath? Yikes! We've never had one and hope we never do! Does your mom use Advantage or Revolution? That's a bit easier than a bath!

We hope you get to roll in the nip again, to make up for the offense and indignity of being bathed!

Sorry about the water episode, that is not fun but a romp in the nip looks like paradise!

Such indignity, but I hope the wash helps out your allergies.

Wow, you're a very forgiving girl, Ginger! We would hate a bath!

She took you away from the nip?? She could have at least waited until you were all nipped out and didn't care if you got a bath or not!

Oh Ginger! That must have sucked big time. The nip looks good though!

P.S. My mum was looking through her recipe book and found one for Ginger Kisses. That's what I wanted her to make! ;)

We do not think baths are a good idea AT ALL! We do hope it makes the itchiness better, though.

P.S. Thanks so much for your purrs for Blackie - we really appreciate them!

Some treats might help that forgiveness along!

Ooooh that 'nip looks wonderful! But the "B" word? Oh no! My human mom says you look very adorable with your wet fur, poor baby! I'm just glad for you that it's all over and you are itchy, allergy free! **Purrrs**

great blog you have! I am now following you, nice to meet you!

I noticed that you wrote that your cats have skin allergies, how did they treat them?

We think my Cody does too

Did you get any nip after for consolation at least? I sure feel for you. I have allergies too and I've been kinda itchy lately...heard my mom say the Bath word too.

Oh Ginger, the horror!! To be taken from the nirvana in the midst of cat nip - & made to endure the B word!!

You look like you fared pretty well, tho - we hope it didn't take too long to dry out your furs!! Do you want to come over & use our magic brush to brush them out??? You'll just have to move Jay's big butt (like I had to last week!!)

Have a great day!!

ps. Cory, we went over to see Whitey & we agree - he is a very handsome mancat!! You two are almost like yin & yang!!

A BATH? How cruel is that! I'd demand nip by the truckload and some treats as compensation.

Amy & the house of cats said...

Oh that is awful about the bath! We know that one is in Kirzon's future at our house - mom just hasn't done it yet. But at least you got a little bit of nip rolling time - that is fun at least!

O.M.C! You got to plunge around inna pile of dried fresh nip? We are stunned. The Big Thing hands that out like treats...

Teri and her Stylish Adventure Cats said...

Wow...that's quite a stash of nip you got saved up there! And FAD...is sad, and itchy. On a kitty that is allergic to flea bites, all it takes is one bite and you got scabs and itchies. Advantage works great as it kills the fleas before they even bite, but Revolution works differently, the flea has to bite first and well, in allergic kitties, you still get the rashes.
