Meow! This was a crazy week in the garden. First we had glorious spring-like weather. The birdies were chirping and the daffodils were daffing!
I just love seeing the daffodils again.
Dad went a bit crazy cutting down the bamboo patch so he could make plant stakes. I think he's got enough to last a lifetime, plus supply all our neighbors with all they need too. They are too big for me to play with them.
The really big news is that my birthday is coming up on Monday March 15th! That's less than a week away. I will be 10 years old. Actually, it's my gotcha day. I arrived 8 years ago in the middle of March. Mom and dad guessed I was 2 years old at the time, so therefore, it is my gotchabirthday! I don't know what mom has planned for me. I'm hoping that a friend or 2 can teleport over to visit me in the garden. If you are willing to come over, maybe we can share nip or something like that? No matter what, mom is getting me ready by furminating me. I'm not a huge fan of the furminator, but I humor my mom and let her get a bit of my floof for herself.
Now all I have to do is wait for the big day!

Hi Jonesie, I'll be there for yoor gotchabirthday! I'm aleady giving my boogie mat the once over, to make sure it's in tip top condition for the flight. I can't wait!

I'm gonna do a tour of inspecshum on my garden next Thursday ~ and show everbuddy wot's blooming. 'Cos now I'm not scared of seagulls the werld is my oyster again.

Your daffodils are daffing already? You are really ahead of us in the growing season. We're still in the snowdrops and early crocus phase, but the winter aconites are spent. We want to move in with you!!! It's exciting that your gotchabirthday is coming up. We're sure your mom has planned something nice.

What a wonderful post Jonesie!!! Your daffs are divine!! What a haul of bamboo you have. Looks wonderful! The PM would like to have a bamboo grove here but she fears it is just out of our zone.

Your garden is great and it's going to be wonderful to watch it grow this summer. It's still so wet here, our Mom has just been weeding and making plans for some new raised beds. We do have sweet peas blooming though!
