Cory and the rest of us have had quite the week. First there was Jonesie's GotchaBirthday celebration...and just as things were winding down and we were settling in for a bit of green niptinis for St. Patrick's Day, our world turned upside down.
See this little fellow? He was my pal when I was down and out in the yard...he seemed to be looking fine in the fall of 2008 when this picture was taken. Turns out he fell on hard times just like I did.
Mom realized that he was in trouble, with wounds on his ears from scratching at ear mites...he was not neutered after all this time...mom did what she had to do...brought out the stinky goodness and trapped him. I'm trying to let him know that it IS really scary to get trapped, but he will look back on it as the best day in his life. I know I do. I can only talk to him under the door...but I hope he's listening.
Here he is at the v-e-t before they put him under and gave him "the works"...he's negative for all the kitty diseases, just like I was...and now he's neutered. He got his ears cleaned and treated for mites and he got a shot of antibiotics. All he has to do now is recover and heal.
Mom says that we are going to pretend we are the "Forever Foster" blog...and find this boy a loving forever home. Does this mean I can pretend to be Fui?
We will visit friends as we can but we have our paws full this weekend!
Pee Ess...we promised that today we'd reveal the winner of our Clean &Green giveaway...Cory was all ready to paw out the winner out of a bowl...all photographed by mom, but given the circumstances we couldn't do that. We did our own quick version of a random draw and the winner is...
One day he'll look bakhk on this and it will all seem funny...

PeeEssWoo: Hi Grete!
Congratulations to Simba. He is handsome meezer cat!
What a pretty boy! Your Mom was good to catch him and rescue him!
Nigel, if you pretend to be me, can I pretend to be you and come and hang out with all your foxy sisters? MOL!
Mr. Blue Eyes, you had an angel on your shoulders when you chose to go into the trap. You are in the best possible place you could be. We hope you feel better soon after your hoohah surgery!
Your parents are doing a wonderful thing for that beautiful kitty; he is a very lucky boy now!...Congratulations to Simba...Have a great weekend...xo...Calle, Halle, Sukki

That is one lucky little fellow! We know he will be very well cared for!
Fui is a great gut but so are YOU, Nigel, so you don't have to pretend!
Hello, handsome! That was your lucky day, for sure. You are definitely in good paws now and in a few weeks you'll be looking as good as you did last year.
Have you got a name yet?
We hope your Mom is as good as Fui's Mom, 'cuz our Momma stunk at fostering. Mom is already swooning over that handsome boy... Gray. Meezer. Blue eyes. He has it all, doesn't he?
PS. Hi, Cory! xo♥
We saw your comment on Forever Foster yesterday and couldn't believe it. So here he is, Mr. Blue Eyes - what a handsome mancat. We are SO happy that he's in the best of hands. Thank you for taking care of him!
Oh Mr. Blue eyes, what luck to have gone into that trap! Now you will know what kindness from humans is and someday find a forever home - smoochies to you - it'll (life) get a lot better now!
We're so glad that handsome boy found his way to your house and we hope he gets a forever home soon.

What a good looking meezer! And how nice of all you to take him in and nurse him back to good health!! Nigel, we think after all you've been through, you'll be leading that effort!!
And congrats to Simba!
Wow! Things have been eventful. Poor Simba. Kudos to your mom for catching him and getting him the vet care (and snip-snip) he needed. We hope you are able to find a wonderful forever home for him...Unless he stays with you, perhaps?
He is such a cutie! We're glad you helped him through it, Nigel!
Congratulations to Simba!
Oh, bless you for doing everything you can for this little kitty! He certainly looks like a handsome little guy. I agree with you -- I don't understand people who abandon their animals. I think some people just like kittens, and when they grow up they don't want them anymore -- that's what happened with my Domino (she was abandoned by her owner, but left behind in my son's house).
Somehow I think there will be a number of people willing to adopt this little one. Thanks for helping him through his hard times and into a better life.
What a beautiful cat he is! Thank Bast your Mom is taking care of him. May he find the purrfect Forever Home very quickly.
Our mom had told us about a handsome new guest at your house. We had to come see his blue eyes for ourselves! Wow, what a stunner! We are so thankful for humans like your parents who rescue those who are abandoned and homeless. What a wonderful blessing that he was negative for diseases! We know he is now in great hands!
Concatulations to Simba!
I am so glad that your mum trapped him and gave him the works at the ets. One day he will look back and say thank you. I hope he gets a good forever home.. Hugs GJ xx
Congrats to Simba.
