Mom teased me this week. Because of my nip "thing" she says I could star in a remake of "Reefer Madness".

OMC Ginger! We blogged about the very same thing this morning. Momma cut all the old deaded stalks down so that she could rake the garden and I tested the cut stems for catnippy saps.

We had a taste from our tiny plants too. They are in a pot and mom brought it inside. One question, Ginger: We are planning a nip seed exchange and have asked Noll and Goldie so far. Would you and Jonesie be willing to let some plants set seed? We want to create the super nip plant and want to broaden the gene pool... And your nip looks FINE! In Autumn we will have to make up an itinery so the seeds can travel between each of us and efurryone takes out some and puts in some...

Our Grampy and Mom have both tried to plant us fresh catnip, back in the days when we were allowed Outside. Sadly, we always eated it all up as soon as green showed through the dirts. We think you showed great restraint in allowing it to grow bigger, Ginger.

Ginger, your nip is growing good. Mine's not started yet, we're only now getting rid of the icky white stuff. I can't wait for spring. We've been able to sit on the porch and relax too, since it's been warmer.
Wow! Looka at all your new nip leaves. Mum bought us our first ever real nip plant last year, but we think all the cold has killed it.
