Meow! Hope you haven't shared the super secret password with any non-felines...so shhh! Say it softly ::meow:: Welcome back to my garden! Even though it's winter I've been super busy snoopervising all the garden stuff. Plus I have to plan for what to plant this spring. I'm going to spend my weekend pawing through the seed Cat-a-log so I can help mom place an order.
Dad wanted to dig this past weekend so I agreed to help.
Turns out we had carrots and parsnips lurking under the dirt! I actually knew it all along, but if I hadn't pawed at the dirt and made a fuss, Dad never would have found anything!
You know what? Parsnips are fun!!! Dad and mom like to eat them, but they make great toys to whap!
You can't work all the time my furriends!
Please leave a link and let me know what's going on in your garden this week!!
What do woo mean by NON-FELINES???
ANYWAY, Mom LOVES parsnips, turnips, and rutabagas!
PeeEssWoo: Hi Grete! I feel fur woo!
Ooo, that does look like fun to whap!
You look like a very amazing gardener! And such a big help! My mommy needs you around. :D
You are such an inspiration, Jonesie!

Um, I am not in the garden today Jonesie. I hope that's okay. You look like you're having great fun with that parsnip.
We are very happy to see from your whapping photo that your garden is not all work and no play. It's wonderful that you enjoy your garden so much, Jonesie:)
Parsnips look quite whap-a-riffic!
A pause for fun at work!
Looks like that parsnip is lots of fun!
Yep, that's right, Jonesie...all work and no play makes for no fun!!
Jonesie, you are terrific help to your dad, we're very impressed.
But...You have green grass! *Sob!* We're deep in the middle of winter here...sob, sob, sob.
Oh wow! We gotta grow some of those things!! And Momma is inspired by your raspberries...she wants to plant some kind of berries. That would be cool because it would make a JUNGLE for us to hide in!
We probably wouldn't make good gardeners but we sure could whap stuff well.
Fun with veggies!!! We cats are so smart...we can make a toy out of anything!!
Sniffie and the Florida Furkids
We sooooooo wish we had a garden like you do, Jonesie. We have been watching you closely and think we could be good gardeners. xxxxxxxxxx
You look like you're having fun whapping the parsnips, Miss Jonesie! You're such a good gardener, it's good that your dad had you to point out those carrots and parsnips or he'd never have found them.
Purrs and hugs,
The Kitty Krew
Parsnips? They look funky!!
Our mum grows carrots and parsnips too. We like to play THoE through the leaves in the summer.
Wow, carrots and parsnips - that is cool that they are still there! And that parsnip really does look like a great toy!
I sure do enjoy seeing you having fun in the garden instead of working all the time. Way to go!
Fresh carrots has our Mom salivating, even with a cold. Good thing they have you to dig the good stuff up. It is raining here today (sigh). ~AFSS
Fantastic work fur uncovering the parsnips! *purrs*
We're chasing lizards! We're jealous of your parsnips. Yummy...
Parsnips are fun looking.
Mom is thinking of getting a little raised bed and doesn't know what to plant. She'd like tomatoes and cherry tomatoes for sure.
We have never seen a parsnip 'cuz Mom gates them. In fact, her entire face grimaced as soon as she saw the word 'parsnip"! That was funny, Jonesie!
PS. Hi, Cory! Soft, rumbly purrs to you xo
we didn't get outside on Thursday so we enjoyed being 'out' via you. Love Darcy and Bing xx
If I had a garden, it would be buried deep, deep in the snow! And it's STILL snowing! I do have a couple feeble houseplants, but I don't think they count.
It's fun to see you in your garden!
Happy Super Bowl Weekend!
Sorry I am late for the Thursday meeting but I see it is still going on. I didn't know that these things could live under the ground for such a long time until you found them. You are one smart kittie and I bet are lots of help to the dad.
See you tomorrow for the big game!
We cant garden right now. We have 2' of snow an the ground is frozen stiff!
The good news is that we are ready to plant seeds inside in 2 weeks and some about each week after that. We are lookin fer our best tomatoes ever this year. And we are trying new stuff like celery and parsnips!
Sorry, I missed this on Thursday, Jonesie. I just love reading about you and your antics in the garden. You're so lucky that you can actually do things actively. That's really cool about having carrots and parsnips under all that dirt. I'll bet you were a real big help digging them up. You sure have a good sniffer.
We haven't been to our garden for a month. So we're not jealous, no-no.
Those parsnips looks like loads of fun.
I think bringing pink panties to a party is always a good idea!
Oopsie, I seem to have left this message on the wrong post! ::blushes::
Nom! Parsnips! =^_^=
