Mystery Mancat Monday

Take a good look at this face. This is the face of a very naughty kitty. This is the face of a kitty who made our mom very upset. This mystery mancat, who has been showing up regularly for meals for several months now, completely disappeared for a couple of days. My mom and dad compared notes and neither of them saw him Friday afternoon or evening. Saturday morning rolls around and nothing...Fancy Feast left on the plate untouched. Saturday was the first nice day in a long time. All the regular neighbor kittys came around to say hello including Remington, Miss Congeniality, Mr. Blue, Tuxie Boy, and Tortie princess. NO MR BOJANGLES! Mom was in a tizzy. We agreed to help look for him, we even checked under the decks. Mom and dad decided that if he didn't eat breakfast again on Sunday morning they were going to all the neighbors to check their sheds, etc. 7am Fancy Feast out...8am...untouched. Mom and dad were getting ready to head out and at 8:30am...who saunters in the yard?...the elusive Mr. B. Like he didn't have a care in the world. Mom ran out with the Fancy Feast and scolded him "where have you been...I've been worried sick about you"...and guess what? She was able to stand about 5 feet from him! She was too pissed off to be happy about it though.
The good news is that mom and dad saw how he enters and exits the yard, which means he is coming from the houses from the nearby cul-de-sac and not the apartments. That may make it easier to figure out if he has a home and has just been playing us. The little stinker. If he wasn't so cute, we'd be mad too. Mom and dad went and knocked on doors in the cul-de-sac. Several people have seen him passing through, but no one knows if he belongs to anyone. One family calls him fat cat! I guess the regular meals at our house are agreeing with him.

That must have been awful, wondering where he was! You were good girls helping your mum and dad to look for him. We're very relieved to hear he turned up again, and thrilled to hear your mum got within 5 feet! Hopefully he will learn from seeing how relieved your mum was to see him.

Sounds like Mr. B really gave you all a scare! We are so glad he showed up....finally! Hopefully they will be able to find his home, now that they know which direction he is coming from!

Oh Mr. B! Come on now, it is high time to set the cards straight (uhm, is that a saying?)! These people are so nice and shouldn't be worrying. Now, you get your act together and show them if you have a home or not, okay? We're glad you came back, your such a cool floofy guy...

I think he does like those meals if they are calling him fat cat!

oh Mr. Bojangles, you shouldn't worry those nice beans like that!
I must say, I find it had to believe he has a loving home. Perhaps there is just a home in the cul de sac that puts food out for him like you do.
Great job helping to look for him gang!

My mom would have been worried. We have had an orange kitty around lately, but she disappears for months and then shows up again. We think she lives in the drains in the neighborhood.

Mr BJ does look well fed, maybe he has a few houses on his rounds?

Hi, Mr. B looks just like our Smudge (aka Yard Cat) and we kept him warm over the Missouri winter by using a heat lamp that was made for keeping baby chicks warm. Boy did that lamp tame our Smudge. We hung it from the rafters over a metal bucket (so there was no chance of fire) and put an old towel in the bucket. We put his water there and the light kept that from freezing too.
There's a picture of the heat lamp on Smudge's catster page
