Sunday Sunshine- A Good Roll In The Dirt

This may not look like much, but it's the only evidence I have that there is a cat sleeping here.  See the slight cat imprint?  Our guest Mr. Blue Eyes is eating lots of food, drinking lots of water, sleeping on the soft blankie...and using the litter box like a little champion...but he's doing it all in private.  None of us has actually seen him except Ellie.  She got to go in his room and peek under the couch.  Now she is bringing little soccer balls to the door and dropping them for him.

It was a beautiful sunny day on Saturday and Grete finally got to play with her ball in the yard!

I took full advantage of the day and rolled in the dirt.

And I continued to roll.
And I hung out with the chives...I think I feel a song coming on...."cha cha cha chive talking, your telling me lies..."  Oh never mind...back to my dirt!

Oh that feels so good.  Girl can't grind enough dirt and grass into my fur...

Mom, thanks for trying to get it off me...but I'm just going back for more.

Happy Sunday!

Foster Friday

Cory and the rest of us have had quite the week.  First there was Jonesie's GotchaBirthday celebration...and just as things were winding down and we were settling in for a bit of green niptinis for St. Patrick's Day, our world turned upside down.

See this little fellow?  He was my pal when I was down and out in the yard...he seemed to be looking fine in the fall of 2008 when this picture was taken.  Turns out he fell on hard times just like I did.

Mom realized that he was in trouble, with wounds on his ears from scratching at ear mites...he was not neutered after all this time...mom did what she had to do...brought out the stinky goodness and trapped him.  I'm trying to let him know that it IS really scary to get trapped, but he will look back on it as the best day in his life.  I know I do.  I can only talk to him under the door...but I hope he's listening.

Here he is at the v-e-t before they put him under and gave him "the works"...he's negative for all the kitty diseases, just like I was...and now he's neutered.   He got his ears cleaned and treated for mites and he got a shot of antibiotics.  All he has to do now is recover and heal.

Mom says that we are going to pretend we are the "Forever Foster" blog...and find this boy a loving forever home.  Does this mean I can pretend to be Fui?

We will visit friends as we can but we have our paws full this weekend!
Pee Ess...we  promised that today we'd reveal the winner of our Clean &Green giveaway...Cory was all ready to paw out the winner out of a bowl...all photographed by mom, but given the circumstances we couldn't do that.  We did our own quick version of a random draw and the winner is...

Simba!

Thursday in the Garden With Jonesie

What an exciting week in the garden!  I had such a wonderful time celebrating my gotchbirthday with family and furriends.  I am honored that so many of you came by to join me.  I'm a very lucky girl.  I spent some time cleaning my fur after everyone left.

But, being a garden cat...gotta get back to work.  Problem is, mom and dad have been so busy, they have been slacking.  Dad realized that he missed his opportunity to move the garlic plants...he says they will stay in their non-garden patch until fall.  He ignored my pawing and insisting on the proper timing of things, but there is only so much a cat can do.  I can't do it all and must rely on others to do the heavy lifting.

There is one thing I want to do before I say so long until next Thursday...
I want to give you all an official thank you for being there for me.  I have the best family and friends in the whole world!

Please leave a link so I can come visit you!
