Tabby Tattletale Tuesday

We finally got a bit of dry and sunny weather.  The downside?  Freezing cold temperatures...so cold that the cat water dish left outside froze solid.  I mean what if mom forgot to empty it out before I went outside.  What if I took a lick of it?  I could have been stuck there...my tongue stuck to the ice...it would be hard for me to meow-squeak for help!

Yeah, whatever...I'm too smart for that!

I'm gonna sit here in the cold sunbeams and enjoy them as long as I can before I have to come back in and warm up.

Mitten and The Mancat on Monday

Don't tell Miss Ellie, but Cory has been giving me advice on how to woo her momma.

Cory has been telling me I've been a patient gentleman cat WAY too long.  I should just go for it.

There...got in the headbutt and body rub!  See how I did  that?   Miss  Ellie gave me a little licker too!  Just a little one, but that's ok!!  ::swoon::

She said she'd deny it if asked, but you saw it here!!!!

Happy 3rd Gotcha Day Cecilia!

Hi there!  Guess what?  For 2 years in a row now, mom has posted my Gotcha Day celebration on January 2nd instead of the real day.  I think she gets caught up in the New Year stuff so much that she forgets the drama that unfolded 3 years ago.

It was cold and dreary and my mom and dad noticed cute little me coming up to the deck for food during Christmas week.   They finally coaxed me into coming inside on New Years Day.  After hearing firecrackers and stuff on New Year's Eve I had enough of being outside.  As Whitey would say...srsly.

So, here is a picture of me when I first came in the house.  I was a bit hissed off, but kinda ok with it because it was so much warmer in the house.  Mom and dad made posters with this image and plastered the neighborhood with them because they were CERTAIN I was just lost because I was so cute and I was spayed.  They posted on Craigslist and looked at every lost cat ad they could find.  They had me scanned for a microchip.

Nothing.

They never did find my former family.  They were going to foster and place me...until I got really sick and had a respiratory infection and asthma.  Mom had someone interested in adopting me but she didn't want to pursue this until my medical situation was more stable and known.

Yeah I know.  Brilliant timing on my part.

Well I eventually got over my respiratory issues, then last year I developed bladder issues so I now need a prescription diet for the rest of my adorable life.

I have a good life.  I have an adoring older boyfriend cat, Madison.  He loves me lots.  I haven't been outside much with all the yucky weather but I did get a couple of hours outside in the cold sunbeams...until I hollered to be let back inside on my cat tree with a view.

Life is good.

Thank you for the Happy Gotcha Day wishes!  I'm purring that all homeless kitties will get to know their very own Gotcha Day in 2011.

New Years Resolutions

I've been thinking.  It's my first New Years with my new family.   I first showed up in their garden around January or so when I was still a kitten...and they thought I was a girl. I want to get it right you know...this New Years stuff...so I thought I'd come up with resolutions to work on for 2011.
I will work on sleeping more on Grete's bed.  I know she loves to share and I want to make her happy.

I will also work on being more relaxed.

I know it's tough but someone has got to do it.

Happy New Year everyone!
