Wordy Wednesday

I have been in this room for 3 weeks now. I was starting to warm up to these people, but then they stuffed me in a box and took me to the v-e-t to be neutered. I have not yet forgiven them. They are continuing to try to be nice to me, but I'm still not letting them pet me or come near me.

I understand that Ginger was named after a cookie. Considering the humans around here recently fell to the charms of the Girl Scouts, the cookies around here are Samoas and Do-Si-Dos...can you imagine? I'm glad I'm already called Nigel. Very man-catly. Thank you Cat Blogosphere for helping to vote for my name, otherwise I could now be called Do-Si-Do.

Where am I, who are these people and why are they calling me Nigel? For the past couple of weeks, I come out from behind the couch to eat, use my private litter box and look out the window. I sometimes let them catch a glimpse of me doing these things but only for a few seconds before I jump back behind the couch to my safe hiding place. They have discovered that I have a passion for extra sharp Vermont cheddar cheese. I think I might be able to use this to my advantage.

The cheese has gotten to me a bit since I have just now started to let the humans sit on the couch while I sit on the back. No touching yet, but I don't want them to think that I'm easy. I may be cheesy, but I'm not easy.

Tuxie Tuesday- Bennettes Bed

Go ahead, make my day

I adore my bed. I know mom supposedly got the bed for Cory, but Cory hardly looked at it. I fell in love at first sight. I only leave it for short bits of time.

Ellie stops by and gives me baths in the bed. I will not share it with her. I will not share it with anyone. I hope Ellie doesn't think that giving me a bath will somehow make me let her actually sleep in it. No way.

I will not give up my bed for a tongue bath

It's mine. Mine.

Mother Daughter Monday

My momma and I are two peas in a pod
I was thrilled to see that our friends Maggy, Zoey and their talented human Ann were thinking of us the other day. They surprised me with the best gift ever, a beautiful photo of me and my momma Ellie. I was thinking that maybe we'd save it for Mother's Day, but every day is Mother's Day around here. Thank you so much for giving us such a nice gift!

I was one lucky kitten to be able to stay with my momma in a forever home. I now have 2 mommas. My real momma Ellie and my adopted human mom. When I first came to live here my human mom was wondering if she was actually my grandma. If my human mom is my momma Ellie's mom, doesn't that make me her granddaughter?? She said, no way...so I just have 2 mommas. We were adopted on Mothers Day weekend in 2006!

PS, human mom is doing much better now. I got the chance to be the mom for a day!

Sunday- Waiting for Everything

Hi there, seems like it's been forever since Cory has allowed me to take over for the day. I have been through so much these past several months. I suffered from elbow dysplasia, and had to have surgeries on both of my elbows. The first surgery was at the beginning of October and the second one at the beginning of December. I am all recovered now.

I'm a happy dog

Mom, would you please throw my ball?

throw it already, will ya? I have had to wait to play with my ball, wait to play in the yard, wait to chase the cats, wait to go on walks and wait to go to doggie daycare. Because I was out of action so long, I kind of forgot some of my manners and training. I am now back in doggie school so I can learn how to get along well in the world. I'm not back at the dog park yet, but I do get to go back to doggie daycare for supervised romps with doggie friends.squeakI love this ball. It squeaks when I bitey it. Mom and dad can throw it all day and I'd still want them to throw it some more. Thank you Cory for letting me have my say today!
