Walkie Wednesday

Hi there!  Grete here reporting from Nye Beach Oregon!  I don't get to go here very often, but if I'm really good and I ask nicely I get to come here.  I just love it!  I can run and run and run!
The beach is so big it makes me feel small.

I get to meet up with nice friends.  Friends I just met a couple of minutes ago!

If you share a common love of the beach, you are instant friends!

You can find all sorts of interesting smells here.  There is stuff that washed up from the ocean.  I wish you could smell it too, it was amazing!  I was a good girl and did not roll in it.

I ran some more.

And then I paused to reflect on how thankful I am for the good life I have.  I have a loving family, a wonderful home, I have great friends, I love my kitties, I get to go to fun and beautiful places.  What more could a dog want?

Fun on a Sunday

We've been doing a lot of celebrating around here. I had no idea what the plans were, but mom and dad kept saying I would really be happy! They were right! We went to beach. It was special time for me because the kitties had to stay at home and I got mom and dad and the beach all to myself!
Dad even wrote my name in the sand! He said it was a more socially acceptable way of marking my territory.
When we got back my kitties were a wee bit upset, but they got over it quickly. Bennette checked and she said there was an envelope in the mail! Mom said they had to wait until after dinner to open it.
Then dinner was served. I know that this special day had nothing whatsoever to do with Cory and Ellie, but guess who was first at the table? The little marauders.

Cory can't control herself around chicken.

Even Bennette who deserved the first bite, knew she just had to let Cory get her way. After Cory nabbed the first bites, there were multiple bites for everyone.

Uh, with the exception of Ginger. Ms. Gotcha Day slept through it all. I'm sure we'll be hearing about that. She really has nothing to worry about since mom is talking about Birthday Week. Too much to do to pack it all in a day, so more to come tomorrow. We still have to open presents!
