Tuesday with Jonesie

Today is the day I travel for 2 hours to go to a special v-e-t clinic to get treated for hyperthyroid.  Because I'm being treated with radioactive stuff, I'm going to be at the clinic for 4 days...then when I come home I have to stay inside for what will seem like an eternity.

I was able to enjoy an amazing winter weekend in the garden.  The sun was shining and I absorbed all the sunbeams I could.  I also tried my best to give instructions to Figaro, Ginger and Cecilia in the hopes they will take care of the garden until I'm back in action.

I'm not impressed with their skills but maybe, just maybe they'll step it up.

Jonesie, we're purring hard for you that all goes well. Here in Canada the stay is 7 - 10 days, or was when our human looked into it for Annie, back in fall 2009.

We hope all goes well and would be interested in reading how it went, what happens when you're home again, etc.

We know that some cats can become hypo-thyroid after the treatment, for a short time, but that's easily treated, we believe, if need be. (Nicki's hypo-t though not being treated, btw).

Good luck!!!
