Society of Feline Gardeners-Thursday In The Garden With Jonesie

::meowwwww::

I'm a little worried today.  My sister Cory is going in for her dental appt. this morning.  I'll have to throw myself into my gardening to keep my mind off it.  We'll post an update as soon as we can.

There have been big changes in the garden this week.  Mom and dad got tired of my weed garden.  I loved sleeping in it, but admit it was a mess.  Dad had it ripped out this past weekend.  All that is left is smooth dirt.  It is pretty awesome for rolling your furs in it.  I've been promised it will be grass someday.

With no weed patch available for a snooze, I decided to check out the beets.  I find that sharpening your claws near the plants makes them feel safe and protected.

Our tomatoes are still green.  I keep purring for them to turn red, but it's not working.  I may have to nap under the plants to get it to work.

A garden cat must make sure she spends her time equally between fruits/vegetables and flowers.  Our Joe Pye Weed is looking fantastic.

The Butterfly Bush is a beautiful shade of purple.

Hollyhocks make me happy.

What's growing in your garden this week?

****UPDATE ON CORY****

Cory did fine with her dental procedure and is waking up.  She did not have to have any teeth pulled!

So far, nothing is growing in my garden! That dumb gardener has not returned since my human chewed him out. He is taking his own sweet time replacing that catnip plant that he tore out and I am a bit annoyed.

BTW, let us know as soon as Cory is back home!

Jonesie, we can't believe they took away your weeds! Now how long before they put that grass in? Rolling in dirt is fun, but rolling in and munching on grass is so much better!!

We are purring for Cory and hope all goes well for her today.

It was so nice to see your butterfly bush. We miss ours dreadfully, the rain killed it.

Dirt patches are very nice for rolling around in. We has some under the live oak trees.

We are sending healing and comforting purrs to Cory. Do let us know how Cory is doing.

You are the hardest working garden cat ever Jonesie!!! Your dedication to the plants is impressive :-)

We sure hope Cory's dental surgery is successful and she has a speedy recovery. We'll check back later today to see if there is any news.

Nothing! Nothing is growing in my garden.. because I dont have one!

That was my human, she is jealous of everyone that has gardens and beautiful flowers. We live in an apartment with the tiny shared yard.. she has to enjoy that little foliage that is out there growing..

Your garden looks great with all of that GREEN!!! Hopefully your tomatoes will start to turn pink very soon!

Our garden is dead. And our Butterfly Bushes has been eaten by the grasshoppers! They have eaten all of the leaves from both of the bushes! Argh.

so glad that Cory's appt went well! That is the best news!

Wow we haven't done a garden post in so long!

We did get lettuce but it is all done now.

We had to pull out the catnip, wasn't doing well.

We are getting TONS of small hot red peppers, we have gotten some cherry tomatoes and our Romas are starting to ripen.

Our normal peppers are taking forever to change color.

We're glad Cory is doing okay. We missed yesterday's post. Mom says she had hollyhocks in the yard where she lived as a little girl.
