Mom? I got some bad news for you.
See, I've been rolling in the garden a lot. I've squished some of the pepper plants and they aren't growing so well anymore.
I couldn't help myself. They were too
irresistible.
Um, and then I discovered something else. You know the red pepper plant you bought? It's green. It will not be turning red. Ever.
And the pretty yellow pepper plant you wanted? Yeah, well. You guessed it. Green.
I think someone switched up the tags at the garden center. Next year...seeds.
So are you going to break the news to
Jonesie?

Your green peppers look way better than ours! Momma only has two really little ones on her plant.
Well at least those green (yellow/red) peppers are growing!
If you aren't just the best little farmer! Of course, you're not supposed to kill the plants, but you're just learning. Our momma likes peppers no matter what color they are but she does like the sweetness of the red ones. We don't care for them at all.
I am sure you mom would forgive you. SS can't grow anything!!!
Oh Ginger, (tee hee)it was a bit norty to squish Jonesies pepper plants! Consider yerself grounded! (tee hee).
But the good news is that green peppers are nice too so Jonesie did well!

ps: Thank you all for our lovely plague ratsies ~ we gotted them yesterday and have posted on them today! We LOVE them!
Ginger, your photos are very, very pretty today. Very pretty. Mom says this switched tag thing happens to her all the time. It's bad when you have as little space as we have and you really wanted one thing and not the other. Ah well, maybe seeds.

Mommy says you could squish all of the green peppers as she doesn't like them!
You grew those peppers?!?! They look better than the ones we get at the market, let alone the ones mum tried to grow once. We are in awe!:)
Well, at least you got peppers growing, green or otherwise...we hope Jonesie isn't too disappointed when somebuddy breaks the news to her...
We bet it was so much fun rolling around in the pepper plants!!! Nice peppers even if they aren't red!
At least the peppers that are left growing, are growing well! We hope Jonesie isn't too disappointed.
Purrs and hugs,

Ginger seems truly repentant about squashing your peppers -- does that make them pepper squash? LOL!
Oh well, I hope you like green peppers a lot, cuz you've sure got a bunch of them! I'm sure Cory will help you eat them up.
We're so impressed with those peppers. We think your Mom will forgive you for squishing one plant.

Ginger, just wait awhile, and the green peppers will change color. As for you squashing the plants, we are sure Jonesie will forgive you. You are just learning to be a gardener after all.

I wonder if those peppers still could change - ours took a while to change when we would grow them, so I would say give it a little more time. I am curious why they are so attractive to roll on though - they must smell really good!
Askhully, your peppers will turn color if you leave them on the vine to ripen fully to red, yellow, orange! They will get sweeter, too! They all start off green! You'll see... Unless Ginger "helps" Jonesie some more! :-D
Do not worry, Ginger. Nobuddy could get mad at you with a face like yours!
Glad to see they are growing anyhow. Mums peppersdidnt do good. I think no one will be mad at you for very long..
Hugs GJ xx
Don't worry, squishing peppers was just an accident. I squished lots of the leeks when they were small. They got in the way when I was rolling.

Uh-oh...no reds or yellows.....bummer!
Hope Jonesie takes the news well.
Uh oh...I don't think Jonesie is going to be very happy about this...
I bet you were just giving the pepper plant a big hug. They will probably grow even better now.The green peppers look very yummy even if they aren't what you expected.
Sometimes the green peppers turn a different color the longer they stay on the plant.
We like the cat + absinthe poster. It reminds us of the "Chat Noir Fromage" poster we have at home.
