Tuxie Tuesday

I'm thinking I need a girlfriend.

Someone who understands that I'm handsome but get scratches on my nose.  I get stuff stuck in my furrs.  I sometimes let my paws stay a tad dirty.  I'm a good provider and can catch birdies and mousies.

What do you meow girls?

Mitten Monday

I know these photos look almost exactly alike, but they are not.  My nose is sniffing the outside air on my deck and just my nostrils were in motion.

Remembering

I am the only kitty here who was around on September 11, 2001.  I have meowed to the rest of my family about what it was like that day.

Mom usually would leave the house early for a row on the river, but that morning she was tired after just returning home from a big race in Montreal the week before.  She was home and awake watching the morning news with our woofie Colby.   The local news cut over to the Today show early because of what was happening, so my mom watched it all unfold on live TV.  She remembers not believing what she was seeing.  How could she?  She watched as the 2nd plane hit the building.  She watched the towers fall...

The next month when mom and dad were on the east coast, they went to New York City, it was late October and people were being encouraged to go visit New York City...so they went.  Mom and dad took the subway to ground zero.  Mom tells us that the first thing she remembers is the smell.  It was still horrific a month later.  She remembers the chain link fence filled with photos and remembrances.

Unforgettable.

And so we remember, 10 years later.  And forever.

Society of Feline Gardeners- Thursday in the Garden with Jonesie

::Meowwww::

Welcome back my garden!  I am so grateful for my wonderful yard.  The weather this past week has been purrfect, so my mom and dad have been spending more time outdoors with me.  I make sure that I show my appreciation by making a fuss over them.  Humans like that.

My sedums are starting to turn pink!

The hollyhock is blooming and is gorgeous.

Grete woofie likes to run around the yard and stay close to me.  She never trips over me.  She's nice that way.

Grete and I just like to sit together and watch over the yard.  I feel safe when she is around.
Figaro was busy snoopervising the grapes.  Mom and I think this photo is funny because it looks like he has a grape plant growing out the top of his furry little head!

Our tomatoes are starting to ripen...and the one in this photo that is nice and red?  Well...it has already been eaten by mom and dad!

Dad was busy working on the garden and he built a new arbor for the clematis plant.  It had overgrown it's last trellis so dad built something more solid.  I'm hoping they put a bench underneath it because it will be a pawsome place to take a nap.

Figgy and I approve!
