Thursday In The Garden With Jonesie

Meow!  Welcome back to my garden!  It's been an interesting week of weather.  We've had sunshine and warmth, then we had rain and chilly!  I'm not ready for fall, so if it could stay away for a few more weeks that would be fine with me.

I helped mom and dad harvest the corn!  We made a huge pile of corn bits because mom didn't want to eat that part.  We put all the good stuff to eat in the bags.  It's hard work snoopervising this because it took 2 of them to do it which means twice as much work for me.

I think Cory and Ellie will be happy with this!

Oh look!!!!  It's Ellie out for a snoopervised visit in the garden. Mom trusts Ellie with me...as long as mom is 2 feet away at all times.

There's nothing quite like Ellie's tail in the sunbeams.

We had a visitor in the yard too!  Mom and dad were amazed because they think this boy could be my long lost brother, minus the floof.  We worried that he might be a stray because, well, you know...but when we offered him food he was just polite about it.  He ate a little bit and then left.  I suppose that's ok...more for us!!!  We couldn't let him go hungry if he was in need.  He hasn't returned since.
So before I go, I though I'd leave you all with my entry into the Monty Q Full Monty Contest!!!  Visit and vote and tell them Jonesie sent you!

Thursday in the Garden with Jonesie

Welcome back to my garden.  This is kind of a fun time of year.  The weather is getting nicer but there is not a whole lot to do now that dad has planted his trees.  It will be a week or 2 before we'll start dealing with spring seeds and stuff like that.  I felt bad because my good pal and gardening buddy Alfie Marshall was a bit upset at me last week because he thought I forgot about him...seeing how I took my neighborcat Freeta under my paw as a gardening apprentice.  Alfie is still my number one trainee...but I can see he still has some work to do because his cheeky brother Milo told him some tall tales and so he missed going out in the garden today!  I may need to go whap Milo!

Before we get to the garden happenings I had to share my good news.  I entered the Mile Long Machine Kleen competition in the Cat-O-Lympics.  Tygana hosted this event.  I entered it as a biathlon competition because it was a combo move with twig whapping followed by a good long cleaning session.  I was thrilled to receive this participant trophy for entering.

But then I was jumping for joy to find out I actually won honorable mention!  I almost passed out because the trophy is bigger than me!  How cool is that?

After I got over myself, I headed back to the garden.  Since there is not much work to do this week, we just hung out.  Ginger, Freeta and me just like to enjoy the sun and the grass.

We were all just minding our own business when I noticed that something...or someone...had Freeta's attention.

Uh oh...here comes Cecilia!

There goes Freeta!
