Woofie Wednesday

As a part of my New Years resolutions, I promised to be better about getting my photo taken.  It used to scare me.  The little light would go off on the camera and I'd go run and hide.

Mom convinced me that my paws and nose are too adorable for the world to miss out.

So what do you think kitty pals?  Do you want to snuggle with me on the couch?

Take a Walkie Tuesday

Finally, the snow and ice have melted. I watched out the window as it slowly went away. My Grete dog has been recovering now from her last elbow surgery 4 weeks ago. She has been going stir crazy with her healing process, especially when you think that her first surgery was Oct. 1st. She has not been able to cut loose and play for a long time. She knows that there have been many kitties purring for her speedy recovery so she wants everyone to know how she is doing.
Grete: Yay, I can go out for short walkies now! The Dr. didn't want me trying it in the ice and snow so I had to wait until the street was clear! Here we are starting on our walk to Starbucks! I don't really want coffee, but I'm happy to go along and help.

Grete: Here I am waiting patiently for my dad to come out with stuff.

Grete: Do I really have to wear this gentle leader? I promise I'll be good! I can hardly wait until I get to go back to the dog park! It should only be a short wait now, maybe just a couple of more weeks!
Cory: I admit to playing chase in the house with Grete just a few times, but this time her elbow did not swell up.

Thankful Thursday

Today Grete is giving thanks for all that she has. My Grete dog hates getting her picture taken more than just about anything. Point a camera at her and she runs. This past weekend Grete had an opportunity to help out other doggies that are still homeless and wanting to find their furrever families.

When Grete found out that there was a fund raiser for Family Dogs New Life she was all excited and wanted to know what she could do to help. Uh oh, turns out she had to pose for a picture. Mom's cycling buddy Bob, was taking pictures as a fund raiser for this nice shelter. Grete was unsure, but her generosity was greater than her fear, so she agreed.

Yes, she was a bit stressed, but Bob worked his magic to get a nice shot of Grete before she bolted! We promised her that we won't point the flashy box at her for awhile! She hopes to give back again when ever she can, because she knows that not all dogs have a place to call home.
