Society of Feline Gardeners- Thursday in the Garden with Jonesie

::Meowwww::

Hi there!  Welcome back to my garden.  The past week has been a mixed bag of sun and rain.  It's making my daddy crazy because the grass is growing a ton.  That means daddy is mowing a lot and making noise.  I don't like the noise, but I sure like the green carpet I get when he's done.

The Rhododendron started to bloom.

So did the Dogwood tree.  Grete says this tree is her favorite.  I think she just likes that it's named after a woofie.

The Swiss Chard is looking lovely and Ellie loves to eat it.  Mom lets Ellie know that her adoring sister Jonesie grew it special just for her.

And you know what?   After my good pals the Poupounette Gang said that dandelions are beautiful and I should not diss them just because they are not exactly like my mom's favorite daisies...I took a second look.  They are right.  Dandelions ARE beautiful.

   A garden cat's work is never done, but I love every second of it.

Dandelions are very pretty. And if you rub it under another cat's chin, it will turn it yellow!

When it comes to plants, beauty is in the eye of the beholder - can you believe some humans think catnip is invasive and not wanted? Horrors!

Your garden looks great, Jonesie, even the dandelion. And the name has lion in it, so maybe it's in the cat family!

Mommy likes anything that blooms including dandelions, so we winds up with lots of flowers other people refer to as weeds, we calls them wildflowers and acts like we meant to grow them.

All flowers are nice, some people just don't appreciate them. Dandylions are need for some butterflies to lay their eggs on and provide food when they first hatch.

WOW! Yoo have some lovely flowers there ~ and I agree, dandelions are beautiful sunny little flowers.
We have been having tons of rain so although I snuck out on my harness to walk ~ no gardening this week.
