Society of Feline Gardeners- Thursday in the Garden with Jonesie

::Meowwww::
Yeah, I know...I'm under the dining room table.   I'm not too pleased but I'm getting used to the great indoors.

Good thing I can still see out the window and admire my lovely garden.  My nip is doing particularly well.  This is just one of many plants.  Mom was good enough to pull off some leaves and give them to us to nibble on.  There's nothing quite like baby spring nip.

The grass is starting to grow and dad gave it a first mow.

Another wonderful surprise is the Swiss Chard that survived over the winter and is continuing to grow!  So pawsome.  Ellie loves her leafy greens so she has been overjoyed!

I hope things are starting to grow in your garden too!

We are starting to get gardening catalogs and I am making notes as fast as my little paws will let me. The Woman says it needs to stop snowing though. I say, well make it happen then huh?

I'm glad you're getting used to the great indoors, since it's safer with no wild preditors running around!
And it's good that you can still snoopervise from the window!

My Human likes your rug better than your lawn! Me, I'll take either ;-)

Cory, darling, please come over and we can have a paw-in-paw nappy. You'll feel better by and by.

Mom finally pulled our mustard and Fava beans. Planting season will be here soon!

Things seem to be coming along in your garden, Jonesie! Your nip looks much bushier than mine - mine looks more like ground over right now. It's spreading out instead of up.

We love well tended gardens like yours. Ours, unfortunately, is not a garden we want to talk about. Heehee.

We've got TONZ of garden sprouts in little trays in the dining room. But they had pesky little paper tags in each row so I helped by pulling out all the tags and shredding them in the floor. Momma said those were the labels but gheesh, I could tell they were sprouts...who needs labels for that, right?

Mommy bought us some fresh nip, we almost deaded it before she got it planted. She thinks it is going to survive Socks and Artemisia.

Jonesie, we rarely go out in our garden either so we are window-gardeners too. We've been checking and our garden is slooowly coming to life, but no where near yours!

You have the best of both worlds. You can see the garden and stay warm and snug under the table!!

Its nice to see things so green already!!! Although we've had quite a mild winter, everything is still gray and muddy here.

Great shots! Our snow is melting, and I can see the Licorice Memorial Garden! Me thinks me should get Mommy and Daddy to start planting seeds in the house for it!

We envy you your fresh young nip leaves. Ours still looks as dead as a dodo. Mum tells us to be patient and it will soon start to shoot again.

We especially liked seein the healthy Nip plant! We have a few cuttings growing in the light stand (wll-protected from our investigations). We like that Swiss Chard plant too.

The great indoors aren't so bad, right Jonesie? Your garden is looking nice -- you're obviously doing a great job of snoopervising from inside. :)

It's nice to be able to have a garden so early. We live in Michigan, so we're still getting some snow. One days it's 60 degrees and the next we have snow!
