Formerly Feral Friday

Hi there!  You know the best thing about being formerly feral?  I have a wonderful family that loves me and watches out for me.

I was feeling kinda punk...and I couldn't hide it any longer.  Mom noticed my fur looked "off" and I was moving kinda slow.  I'm  a sleek and sassy huntress...so if I lose my tree climbing, bug chasing form, it gets noticed.

I'm so glad it was noticed.   Of course...me being me...I hid.  I know, it's a dumb thing to do, but I'm formerly feral.  It's the first thing I think to do.

Mom and dad freaked out a bit.  Dad kept looking for me until midnight...I feel bad about it since I could see him and hear him the whole time.
I was found hiding out in our little used dog house.  I got shoved into a carrier and hauled off to the v-e-t.  The figured out I have an abscessed tooth.  I'm now on antibiotics and I got some pain meds too.  Pain meds are WAY  better than nip.  Trust me.

I'm back home and getting wet food.  BONUS!

I have to go back to the v-e-t next week to get my tooth taken out.  I'm trying not to think about that part.

Thank you to my furriends who have been purring for me. It means a lot to me.

I am glad you live in a house where they take good care of you. You are very lucky to get canned food. I heard the words Chey is FAT this evening and I am not sure if I will be getting that much food for awhile...

P.S. Don't let the vet take photos while you are under. Binga was very embarrassed!

Cecilia, I'm so glad to see you looking good and having an appetite! I know it's not over yet, but at least it's something totally treatable, and will have no lasting effects.

We'll keep purring for you anyway, until you're back home safe after your surgery.

Oh, poor kitty!! I am glad your tooth feels better. It is fun to go to the vet for your teeth. They knock you out and then you get to look like a squinty eyed pirate and cuddle with your mom all day.

Love, Scout

Cecilia, I right there with you when it comes to hiding when you don't feel good. I am not used to having someone actually care, but it sure is nice isn't it? Even if they do take you to the vet. ~Arty Mouse

We are glad you are feeling better Cecilia and we are sending tons of healing purrs. ~AFSS

We're so glad your mom and dad are very observant and understand the signs that a kitty might not be feeling well. We're glad they found out what was wrong and you're feeling better. It's too bad you have to go back to the vet, but you will feel even better after you are fully recovered.
