Thursday in the Garden with Jonesie

Welcome back to my garden. This time of year takes lots of patience. Most of the really hard work is done, but now I have to snoopervise to make sure things get watered and weeded. From my garden bench I can see a lot, but I still have to get up and walk around. Watching plants grow is tedious work. The little baby peppers are growing up.
The squash is growing up too. It's a full time job to make sure my sister Ginger doesn't squish the squash!!
We have one very special Cabernet grape plant. I still can't figure out why I let my dad only plant one. I think he wanted to see if it would grow and under my watchful eye, it has!

Gardening is tiring, so I think I'll spend the rest of the afternoon soaking up the sun with my plant friends.
I want to thank my good friends at Zoolatry for helping me with my garden attire and header! If you haven't noticed, as of yesterday, my brother Nigel has now officially joined us on our header!
Now be sure to go check out my young friend Alfie Marshall, Garden Cat in Training to see what he's up to this week in the garden. I hope he likes my stylish pink slug stompers.

You has a lot of furry love in your home, Jonesie. We think that spills over into your lovely, thriving garden.

We gotta tell you that when Mom saw that Cabernet grape plant, Mom's eyes went "oooooh!" Cabernet is her favorite varietal!

Hi Jonesie,

That was a fabulous gardening spot today and I just love your pink clogs ~ Zoolatry sent me a pair too (green ones) so I'm gonna show them of next week on my Thursday gardening spot. I can't wait ~ I use them for stomping on slugs!

It's great to see Nigel on the header too.

Love Alfie Marshall (your protegee trainee gardener)

You are doing well. We have different kinds of peppers and they are coming on. Our squash is way behind yours though--it's mostly still flowering.

Gardening looks fun! Especially if you get to have a nap in the sun each time you are done!
