It's too hot to garden today. 102, 106, 107...ugh. It's been too hot since Monday. We may "cool" to the 90's by the weekend.
It's ok to do nothing every once in awhile. Consider me on vacation.
Maybe I can keep an eye on things from my shady spot in the grass.
Or maybe not. Maybe I can watch birds fly overhead.
Or maybe just take a bath.
Or maybe not. I'm officially banished from the garden until it cools down. Mom thinks it's too dangerous. I'm stuck inside with the AC.

Jonesie, we are sorry, but we agree with your mom. It is too hot for you to be working in the garden. If there is a cool time of day, maybe you can go outside then.

Yeah I know exactly what you mean. It's way to hot to do anything here too.
I think you should just stick to lounging in the shade!!
A ladycat capable of cultivating such beautiful vegies and flowers deserves a good rest every now and again. Enjoy it, Jonesie:)
Hi Jonesie,
I didn't know I was allowed to take a vacation from gardening if I felt like it! How much annual leave am I allowed?
Alfie (Trainee gardener) xx
That iz the best idea for the duration of that nasty heat wave, Jonesie. You are a very wise Master Gardener!
With those hots, it's better to be in!
Stay cool!
Smoochies!
They keep you from gardening? That must be so hard for you! As a compulsive Gardening Cat myself I understand. But it's way better to stay cool for you right now.

We've heard about your heatwave, Jonesie! We hope it cools down soon and you can get back to tending your garden...but a little vacation isn't a bad idea!
Love the pictures of you today, Jonesie!! Try to stay cool in that awful heat~
That's way too hot - even hotter than it is here in Florida. Stay cool!!
Sniffie and the Florida Furkids
You look lovely there in the shade, Jonesie, but our Mommy agrees with yours and won't let us out when it's really hot like that either. We guess it's for the best. *sigh*
Hey, we have an award for you kitties today on our bloggie, come by and see when you have a chance! :)
Purrs and hugs,
The Kitty Krew
Even if it's too hot to garden, you still gave efurryone a good tip, Jonesie -- and that is to stay inside when it's so hot outside. It's not good for your health! I like your style.
Thanks Jonesie,
Could yoo interview him for me? Here’s his CV/application form he gived me, Alfie xx:
Name: Milo Marshall
Address: Sidmouth, UK
Age: 1 year and 3 months
Qualifications: None
Experience: Working as Alfie Marshall’s assistant in the garden. Doing weeding, watering, and being bossed about in general.
Any other experience: None.
Hobbies: napping, playing wiv my tent, and boogie mat, and Plague Ratsie
Salary expectations: What? Do you mean I coulda been paid for wot I did? I got nuffin.
Any information you would like to sumit in support of your application: Well I’m not very keen on gardening ‘cos I don’t like getting my paws dirty and being bossed about by Alfie. But on the other hand it’s is my garden and I don’t want any introoders in it. And Alfie is my bruvfur and stuff so I can ignore him if I feel like it. And I do fancy growing some NIP and stuff. I'd rather be called a "consultant" than an "assistant" and I want to be freelance NOT work for anyone.
Jonesie I agree with your mom too - too hot = bad for kitties! We will miss your tips but Alfie has some good ones today so we will have those for now. You are being an excellent mentor/instructor to Alfie.
We have been lucky because it hasn't gotten that hot here yet - usually it has hit close to 100 at least one time by now.
You deserve a rest!
So, watch the birds and trees
Jonesie, you look exhausted from the heat.
Good call - chillax
With weather that hot, it sounds like the perfect time for a vacation to the cool indoors. (Those are adorable pictures of you!)
