It's been 5 weeks since Grete had her elbow surgery. She had fluid building up on her elbow because she was too active. I felt guilty about it because I thought it was because I was trying to get her to chase me. Turns out it's Grete's own fault because she is 2 years old and wants to rumble. Grete saw the doctor after 4 weeks on house arrest and now she is released to 2 small "controlled" walkies a day. There's nothing "controlled" about my Grete. She can hardly wait until she can mix it up with her boyfriends Calvin and Trek at the dog park. I can hardly wait until she's out of the house.
Grete is a whiner. She whines so much because she's getting bored. She feels better but she's still not ready to cut loose. She doesn't understand. So she whines. She whistles when she whines. My ears hurt.
Grete and Bennette eat out of the same dish at the same time. If my mom tries to get a picture of it, Grete runs. My Grete hates the flashy box so much, she'll leave her dinner to Bennette. Bennette thinks this is great.
Bennette says, "thank you for the food Grete"!
PeeEss...did you hear Obama's speech? A puppy moving into the White House? Did I hear that right? Uh oh...time to start e-mailing the Prez elect now...we want to see a first kitten!

Poor Grete. Hopefully she will be back to running around soon. And your poor ears!
Purrs to you all,
Shade and Goldie
I think you are right. If they get a puppy, they should get a kitten too!
A whining woofie that leaves you foods? Well, it's a small price to pay.
Be thankful for the extra food left behind for you... it's just a little GreteGift.
(yes... please start a petition for a White House Kitty)
I'll sign a petition for a first kitty!
We are glad to hear that Grete is progressing. Maggie totally understands why she is whining so much. Maggie says to hang in there, it will all be worth it when she is finally released!!

Awwww Grete we hopes yoo feel better soon...
purrs,Abby
I hold out hope that I will be honorary first cat...
Awww. Poor Grete! I hope she feels all better soon. It is hard on doggies when they can't romp. I know romping and sleeping and barking is all that my doggie brother and sister do!
Apparently the family will be getting a shelter puppy based on PETA and Best Friends telling them not to get a purebred puppy. So this is good news.
Poor Grete. We send her purrs.

We hope Grete is 100% real soon!
Yep, we need a White House kitty...we're tired of those d*gs!
I'm glad that Grete is doing better!
What a coincidence! Maggie May is on California Natural dry food, so we were trying to get Cal and the others to eat it too. It is a great food for allergy sensitive kitties. We are hoping he will start to like it.
Eeeek! I heard that thing about the puppy, too. I think Mr. O was just very very tired after all that campaigning and really meant to say cat.
