Introoder Tuesday

We got introoders in our yard!!!!   They come when we are asleep and snug in our beds.  They are ungrateful...sniffing at the water bowl and not taking a drink.   Don't they know that my dad puts clean water in it every day just in case they are thirsty?

If they think I'm gonna share my food...they are WRONG!!!

Look at this one with his spots.    No mom he is not cuter than me...

This orange one thinks he's all that...can't you tell?

And this guy...we've seen him before.   I think mom caught him on camera in the middle of the day...in mid-flight as he ran from the yard.  The least he can do is smile for the camera.

Mom said that I need to be nice because...um...this is how I ended up in my home.  I was discovered starving not too far from where this water bowl is located.

Oh all right.  I'll share.

Friday with Jonesie

Hi my furriends!  This first picture was taken when I got home from the v-e-t on Christmas Eve. If you look close you can see how my face is puffy around my nose (if you look on the right side of the photo).  You can see how the swelling is close to my eye.

This photo was taken on Boxing Day, after 2 doses of prednisone.  Mom thinks the swelling is going down.   I will continue on the prednisone to make sure this is really helping.  For sure.

The other news is that the v-e-t stole some of my blood and sent it off for testing.  I have hyperthyroid.  One of the reasons my mom was freaked out is because I lost a pound...even though I've been eating well...and of course mooching a bit over the holidays.  Now we know why.

Before I can go in for treatment for hyperthyroid I have to make sure my nose swelling issues are under control.  I will probably have to pack my kitty bags and go off to a special clinic for 4 days, but I won't be going for at least a few weeks.

Mom says that our Guardian Angels Morgan and Jonathan both went through radioactive iodine treatment and it worked great.   I never met Morgan, but I knew Jonathan and he was the most pawsome of cats.  If it was good for him then it will be good for me.  I can feel it in my paws.

Thank you for all of your purrs.  It means the world to me.

Merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas everyone!  Hope Santa Paws was good to you.

I wanted to give you a quick update on Jonesie.  She went to the v-e-t on Christmas Eve and they stole some blood from her.  Her nose is all puffy so she is going to take prednisone to see if that helps her.  Mom will take daily photos of her beautiful face to make sure the swelling is improving.

The best case scenario is that this is a recurrence of her chronic rodent ulcers.  We won't even mention worst case scenarios.   Please join me in purring for Jonesie since we all know how Cat Blogosphere purrs work miracles.

Merry Christmas Eve!

All of us here at Casa de Cory are NOT happy with our mom.   She has been neglecting her secretarial and photography duties.

But...as always she has a very good excuse.   She works really hard to provide for us and we appreciate it.   While she has not been fulfilling her blog responsibilities the way we desire, she has been taking really good care of us and the wildlife in our garden.

Today is Christmas Eve and I...Jonesie Marie have a date with our v-e-t person.  He is a really good guy and I like him and all that, but why do I have to go on Christmas Eve?   Mom says my face is getting puffy around my sweet nose and she is worried about me.   Mom says she feels lucky our most favorite v-e-t guy had an opening for me.  So off I will go.

I expect to be home in time to settle in with my family and wait for the guy in the red suit to stop by with our nip toys....

Merry Christmas everyone!

Society of Feline Gardeners- Thursday in the Garden with Jonesie

::Meowwww::

Welcome back to my garden!  I apologize for not getting our garden meetings posted recently.  It's been cold and...well, not really garden weather.

Ginger told you how cold it's been.  I have not been allowed outside!  Truth is, I didn't want to go out to freeze my paws.  What's the point?  Dad will not do my bidding so might as well enjoy the garden from the window and catch up on planning for next year.

Before it got super cold I did manage to get time outdoors the weekend that Dad was doing his final mowing of the grass for 2013.

There  were still lots of leaves down and dad mowed them up with the grass and made mom run back and forth with the bags.   I made sure they didn't stop until it was done.

So now, this is what I'm doing...purrrrrrr.

Yes I know the photo is a bit blurry.  I need to snoopervise mom and make sure she uses the tripod next photo shoot.

Here is the tree that Grete got for us!  The lights are on.  We still have to put toys ornaments on it.  It should be all done by this weekend!

This is the best time of year.  A bit of the garden gets to come inside with me!

Woofie Wednesday

It's Christmas Tree hunting time again!  I don't understand why we only do this once a year.  It's SO MUCH FUN!

I sniff the ground and check out everything.   When there are so many trees to choose from, it's important to not get distracted.  I must stay focused on my mission to find the perfect tree!

I found it!

You'll have to wait to see it inside the house.

Tabby Tattletale Tuesday

Hey there gossip fans!  This photo was taken before we got the deep freeze here.   It's been c-c-c-c-c-c-c-cold!   As in brrrrrrrrr.  15 degrees the other morning.  17 degrees this morning.

Even my furs are not enough to keep me warm.  We have officially been on lock down.

It got so cold in the workshop that the temperature kept dropping...even with our heater we were in danger of become catsicles!  Can you imagine?

So mom set up extra warm beds and an extra heater so we are happy again.   Cecilia and I let Madison have the best bed.  We're nice that way.

The surveillance camera has been capturing our raccoons coming by the frozen water dish at night.  Mom warms it up during the day.  They are not as active which is fine by me.   It kinda creeps me out when they look through the window at me!

Mitten Monday

*waving paws*

I'm sorry I've not been good about posting.  It's not really my fault.  There is only so much a cat can control.

I handle the part about being cute.  Doing interesting things.

If mom is slacking with the camera or uploading...all my furriends suffer.

Not that we've been suffering.  It's been freezing cold here.  So of course we do what anyone else would do in that situation.  Hang out by the fireplace with family!

Pay no attention to the toys scattered everywhere.  As far as Santa is concerned we have NOTHING!
