Wordy Wednesday

I'm happy to be reporting from the top of the piano to let you know that Madison came through his surgery just fine.  He now only has 3 teeth left in his mouth, and he's grateful for each and every one of them.  The v-e-t report said the polished the remaining teeth so they are bright and shiny.  The v-e-t showed mom and dad one of the big teeth that came out.   I thanked them for not bringing it home.  Ewwww!

Madison is going to be a bit sore for a few days, but then he should feel better than he has in a long time.  Thank you for all the purrs for him.  He's still a bit confused about what's going on since his tongue can't quite figure out what to do.

If you could keep the purrs at a low rumble for him that would make him feel better.  Maybe I'll sing him a sock song tonight?

Toothless Tuesday

Today I have to go in to the V-E-T.  My teeth are not so good, or so they say.  I have to go in for dental work.  They already stole some blood from me and they say it looks pretty good for a 14 year old.  I could have told them that.  They didn't really have to take it.  Anyway...they are not so sure I will have many if any teeth left once they are done with me.  Mom say this is ok, I won't starve and I can still eat if I don't have many teeth.   Mom is just worried because I have to go "under"...whatever that means.   Does that mean I'm going to visit Fui and Suey and Ronny?  Can I visit MoMo too?

Is that true?  All I really care is that my Cecilia still loves me.

Pee Ess:  I weighed in at 17.4 pounds!

ManCat Monday

I already have the upper bunk, so I suppose blowing a raspberry is overkill!

Thursday In The Garden With Jonesie

Meow!  We have a crisis in our garden!  The weather has been rainy and damp and awful.  We've had too much rain and the high temperatures are too low...sigh.   This means my basil is in danger of going to the herb Bridge.   I've tried keeping a vigil, but mom and dad bring me in at night and when I'm not there...the...ugh...slugs move in!

This means war!

Not only are my beloved basil plants in danger, my raspberries are not very happy.  This makes my mom sad.  I will do what I can to purr over them and make it right.  Even a master garden cat has her limits.
It makes me cry to look at my darling basil furriends.  Mom said I can get new ones once the weather dries out and warms up...but it doesn't ease the pain of watching these little plants suffer.
I have ammonia spray to help take care of the nasty slugs.  The milder mixture is supposed to be good for the leaves too.
You might have to biggify the picture below...but I'm there, watching over my garden and purring that the sun will come out soon!

Tabby Tattletale Tuesday

Mom, would you please make the rain stop?  I'm getting sick of sitting out on my deck with my furs getting all matted because I'm damp.  No I don't want to come inside.  It's summer.  Do something about it.  Now.

And what's with Figaro being in the house?  It was bad enough I had to share my yard...yeah I know he was helping Jonesie and blah blah blah...but then I come in the house and there he is!  You know I want to be an only cat.  We are going in the wrong direction! This is no good.

And what's with you mom?...making winter kale soup for dinner when summer is just arriving...I know it was only 50 something degrees out...but BBQ anyway.  Toughen up!

Momma and Mancat Monday

We have a new mancat in the house.  We've been playing whappy paws under the door.  That's been all fine and stuff...but this weekend, mom opened the door!  I was afraid to go in, but my momma isn't afraid of anything or anyone, so she went in first while I watched.
She just went right in and sniffed him and he let her!  They shared funny growlie chirpie noises and a few whappy paws...but that was all.
Then momma showed him who is top cat in our house.
Hey buddy, just because you have the remote, does NOT mean you are in charge.

Thursday In The Garden With Jonesie

Meow!  Welcome back to my garden.  I've been without a lot of help this past week.  My furriend and garden companion, the cat formerly known as Freeta Bandeeta, has been inside my house locked in a room.  I knew all along he was a boy.  A girl cat knows these things.  I thought it was funny...I was LMAO for months!  Silly humans.

We're calling him Figaro.  We're still not sure he's staying for good, but I'm purring for that to happen.
Anyway, good help is hard to find.  Until he recovers from his illness and he can come out in the garden again I'm on my own in helping my dad.
Dad has been working on the garden patio for 2 years now.  It's a lot of work, but he's hoping to finish it this summer.  The gravel is in and the bamboo have been put in pots by the fence.  Dad sunk the pots in the ground and put pretty pebbles all around.  A garden cat has to be good at snoopervising the hardscape as well as plantings.
We have booberries planted by one of our fences.  Mom says they are blueberries, but they aren't blue yet so I'm not so sure she's right.  We'll see.
The cottonwood tree is blowing it's cotton all over our yard.  You can see me and Grete hanging out in it.  It looks like snow, but it's not cold.
Although Figaro is not out in the yard with me, he's still helping me...he's inside helping mom with my post!  I knew he wouldn't let me down!

Don't forget to leave a link so all garden cats can gather together!

Tuxie Tuesday

Hi there!  Remember me?  I'm the cat formerly known as "Freeta Bandeeta".  You see...I kept a big secret from everyone (except Jonesie).  Under all my floof, I hid the evidence that I am a boy.  While the lady here was gone last week, the big man felt sorry for me...said I looked a bit ill.  He hauled my kitty rear to the placed called the v-e-t.  While there the secret was revealed.  Not only am I a boy, I was in need of a snip.   Well, I was snipped and I was also tested for all the kitty diseases.  I'm negative for all the big stuff, but I have an intestinal parasite.  I'm on pills now until I get better.  I already feel lots better!  The v-e-t thinks I'm about 1-2 years old.
I like it here, except I can't go in the yard and help Jonesie.  I'm meeting other kitties and the great big woofie under the door.  I've kind of met the woofie before, but she barked at me.  I just ignored her.  Now she isn't barking, she's just VERY interested.  I can understand why.  I AM very interesting!
The man and woman here have been asking around the neighborhood, but so far no one knows if I belong to someone or not.  I've been eating at the next door neighbors house for months.  They've been worried about me too.   So for now, I'm recovering and I'm "on hold" until the people here figure out what to do. I'd really like to call them "mom and dad".  A cat can dream, right?  Jonesie needs me, right?

xoxo

Mystery Monday

Hey!  What's going on?  Who's in there?

Whoa!  Did you see that?  A paw!
Look momma!  Two paws!  I'm gonna look under the door!

Whoa...who is it?

All Decked Out

You don't mind if I play with your tail, do you?
Look at all the projects that dad and Jonesie are working on!
Grete, you are so nice to make sure I can't jump off the deck.  You know I want to!
Grete, what would we do without you to protect us?
We love you Grete!
