Society of Feline Gardeners- Thursday at the Vet with Jonesie

::Meowwww::

How am I supposed to garden from here?  Far from  home, stuck in a vet's office.  Here I am getting checked in.  For some reason the v-e-t person doesn't understand my need to put my paws in the dirt.

I got my treatment on Tuesday afternoon and on Wednesday I got one phone call home.  My mom and dad were informed that I was settling in well and that I am eating.  I'm scheduled to come home on Friday.   I've learned that the rules here are similar to jail.  Just one phone call a day.

Sigh.

Meanwhile back in the garden.....
Um...now what did Jonesie say?   We can't poop in the garden that we pee in?  Was that it?
No!  I think she said don't eat the baby nip until she gets home...
Why can't we remember the details?

I think I'm supposed to patrol.  For what I have no idea.   I just  want to go next door and be a pest.

I'm pretty certain that Jonesie said to stop and smell the flowers.  Oh wait, there are no flowers right now.   I'm so confused.

Oh this does not look good.  I may have to take matters into my own paws...boys...Jonesie is gonna be hissed off at our incompetence.

Working Wednesday

Now...remember Grete...you  need to keep everyone in line.  I've given specific instructions on how to manage the garden...and as a...expert cat herder, you are the purrfect one for the job.

Ginger...Figaro...you need to work with dad to make sure the fallen branches get picked up.

Sniffing them does not help!

Tuesday with Jonesie

Today is the day I travel for 2 hours to go to a special v-e-t clinic to get treated for hyperthyroid.  Because I'm being treated with radioactive stuff, I'm going to be at the clinic for 4 days...then when I come home I have to stay inside for what will seem like an eternity.

I was able to enjoy an amazing winter weekend in the garden.  The sun was shining and I absorbed all the sunbeams I could.  I also tried my best to give instructions to Figaro, Ginger and Cecilia in the hopes they will take care of the garden until I'm back in action.

I'm not impressed with their skills but maybe, just maybe they'll step it up.

Mitten and the Mancat Monday

Hi there!  I know...we've been bad about posting.  Not that it's our fault.  Our mom is on the edge with us.  We are not pleased.   She is failing her blogging support duties.

But...if we think about it, mom has been real good about lap time...and Fancy Feast time...and making sure our blankies are soft and warm.

Oh...darn...it's so hard to stay mad.

In case you were wondering, us House Panthers stick together here.

Society of Feline Gardeners- Thursday in the Garden with Jonesie

::Meowwww::

I'm not at all pleased.  For some reason my mom thinks that posting when it's almost Friday still qualifies as "Thursday in the Garden".  My furriends have been worried I'm sure.

Never fear, I am doing great.   I don't go off to v-e-t camp until the end of the month.  Until then, I can garden as much as I like.   The rain has started after a long dry spell.  I think that's good.  Garden's need lots of water.

When I need a better view of the landscaping (for planning purposes), Dad is really good about giving me a lift.

I love my Daddy.

Woofie Wednesday

Ohhh how I loved the inflatable bed.  Do you know how awesome it was...the perfect size for a dog?   Not that I mind sharing....

Room enough for my binky and 3 of my best friends.  Figaro could join us but he passed out on a chair with a fuzzy blankie.

Tuxie Tuesday

Since Cory posted about the inflatable bed yesterday, we got lots of comments on how awesome it was...and how horrible that our mom and dad so rudely took it away from us.

It was a very well used bed.  We all slept on it.  Even mom and dad.  It was pawsome.

Please be aware that the proper authorities have been notified and a complaint has been registered with The Spoiled Cats Society.

Mom and dad's assertions that they needed to be able to "walk" through the living room without tripping is not a good enough reason to deprive of us of our bed.

Mitten Monday

One of the best parts of the holidays is when my mom and dad get out the inflatable bed and put it in the middle of the living room between the fireplace and the Christmas tree.   My Momma Ellie and Bennette and I spent lots of time there.

Of course now that it's January, all of that has been put away.  No tree, no decorations and no inflatable bed.  Nigel is having a hard time since he spends hours and hours sitting next to the tree, looking at the lights.  He adores it.

All I had to look forward to was our new Cats of the CB 2014 Calendar.  Can you imagine my joy when I saw that my boyfriend, Alfie Marshall was Mr. January 2nd!

It's going to be a good year.

Society of Feline Gardeners- Thursday in the Garden with Jonesie

::Meowwww::

Welcome back to my garden!  I apologize for not being regular about our Society of Feline Gardener meetings.  I've hit a little bit of a rough patch.   My nose and face swelled up and mom got concerned.   I've been on prednisone and take a look at me now!  Mom says I'm looking better every day.  I'll start tapering off my medication this week.   But...you know by now that I've been diagnosed with hyperthyroid.   Once I'm off my medication I will be going to a special Feline Thyroid clinic for treatment.

Of course you know what that means.  I must get ahead on my gardening duties!  Not only for the days I'm at the clinic but I must stay indoors for a specified period of time afterwards so I don't distribute any...uh...radioactive pee in the garden.

Luckily for me, it's January, so my work in the garden is not as critical.   I mean...even my dad is slacking off.  Does he really think that I'm gonna fall for that silly wiggling finger in the air trick?

Oh...I can't help it!   A girl's got to have some fun, right?

Serious gardening can wait.   I love my daddy!

Happy New Year and Happy GotchaBirthday Cecilia!

Hi there!  I'm so happy you are here today to help me celebrate!  On January 1, 2008 I first set paw into my forever home.   I had been hanging out in the garden and was brave enough to come on the deck, but it took me a few days to get my courage up to come inside.

Where it was warm.  There was food.

I was sick and I needed medicine.  I had an upper respiratory infection.  I was a mess.  But I was cute.

Some of you already know my story.  I was supposed to get all better and then get "fostered" until a permanent home was found.  Mom even found a nice person at work that was interested in adopting me.  But...fate stepped in.  I developed asthma and mom didn't want to place me until I was healthy.

You know how it goes.  It took sufficient amount of time for my recovery...timed perfectly with how long it takes for attachments and bonds and love to grow.

And here I still am.   Since the weather warmed up I've been celebrating with some nice rolls in the dirt.  I love it!
